Mkay, so i finailly did everything! Now i run the mod, it's ok, until, gasp, when i try to start a game SC crashes and this appears:
Starcraft was unable to open a required file. If this problempersists, try uninstalling and reinstalling Starcraft using the program "SETUP.EXE" on the Starcraft CD-ROM.
The Problem occured while trying to load a file
arr/units.dat
The program issued a command but the command length is
incorrect.
Oh noes! Help!
Here's the mod ^^
I only screwed with the SCV, so lol
WAIT!
WHen i uploaded it it said Invalid File:

You have to name the file you save to using DatEdit as units.dat. Also, that .dat file has to be in another file called arr. Anything other than that=failure of mod.

Read the bottom message. I cant upload it.
And yes, theres a folder called arr, and in that is an exe called units.dat

When you add it to WinMPQ does it still say it is arr\units.dat ? If you are forgetting to type in arr\ in the blank that comes up it will be messed up.

To upload it, put it in a .zip folder. Then upload that folder.

Exactly what parts of the SCV did you mod?

just attack, sounds, well everything i could find :P
Could it be the minor fact that you actually saved the weapons.dat file as units.dat? ;)
You do need to be in the same tab as the file you're saving. (eg: if you want to save units.dat you must be in the units tab.)
For anyone who may be interested: "Command Length" errors (the program issued a command but the command length was incorrect.) happen when starcraft tries to open a dat file that's larger/smaller than what the exe expects it to be. This is why adding entries to .dat files never works without editing the exe.

So i just change the thing in arr to weapons.dat?
easy enough =]
