Is there a way to add a new race to StarCraft using the modding tools?

Hi there.

There is currently no way to add an entirely new race to starcraft. Such a thing would require extensive restructuring of the exe which is considered to be "unmodable".

Actually, its only impossible to add a new race to the game in the race dropdown menu.
You can however:
1. Replace an existing race with your new one.
2. Use a subrace system, which allows an existing race to transform into your new race.

First, sorry for putting this in the wrong spot but I had posted this before I saw there was a place for it. Anyway, how do I make a subrace? I've never heard of that before.

Its kinda complicated, but there are 2 (easier) ways to do this.

I know I'm just filling this thing up with noob questions, but how do I downgrade? I know what it means, I just don't know how.
