View Full Version : Inverted ramps
Im wondering what the difference is between a normap ramp and an inverted one. I know what the visual difference is but what difference does it make ingame? Do units walk faster up/down inverted ones or whats the deal.

Mainly its for balance and aesthetics in a map. Without it a top vs bottom style map has an obvious imbalance, in that all ramp entrances are on the bottom without inverts.
It is wholly a matter if simplicity and fairness. Unfortunately inverts are, in fact, slightly wider than regular ramps, but to no important degree.

Ok thx. So its basicly so that the ramps leading from the mains are the same? Like this:http://data.fuskbugg.se/skalman01/-ghj.JPG

Exactly. The ones with question marks are useless and unnecessary when you have the original provided ramps, tho.

With those particular ones I wouldn't consider them unnecessary, simply because those ones are made with buildable terrain.
