Fancy giving us a little more than just a link? I'm sure it';s of interest, but usually it's good practice to give a decent synopsis in the first post too.

"Duality", as it's called the project, is a mod that will be launched, if not for Starcraft II, then for any other great and moddable RTS. Now, ideas, story and most of it are unique, specially, I think, because of the concept. You know, most of the games in Sci-Fi universe are talking of the same story, always the "save mankind" bull, in other words, games in which either mankind is under siege from aliens, mutants, terrorists and all about it. Universe at War: Earth Assault, Command & Conquer 3, Starcraft, all of them might have different features and stories, but deep inside, they're all the same! I wanted to change that, 'cause we're not talking exactly about mankind, but about it's "descendants", the Geodosian. Short version here is that they're somewhat a race of elf-like grey-skinned mutated teenagers who're now suffering a civil-religious war between two factions: The Geodosian Empire, their first nation, based on honor, freedom and war traditions and codes, and the Cult of Sigma, a faction who'll do anything to get their ultimate goal: Peace.
Now, a small concept for the mod's story:
"In the 22nd century (2175), in the Sigma-Andron System, supposedly abandoned by mankind, the situation is dire. While humanity lingers on Earth, confident they are safe, the system suffers a holocaustic civil war between two forces, both of the same race, both who were 'born' from mankind."
"In one side, the Geodosian Empire, the very force who ensured existance and freedom for this species for 100 years ever since it was created on their homeworld of Jontunheim. Once a shining beacon of power, with it's mighty fleets of warships and armies of young, hardened and brave Legionnaires, now it stands alone and losing rapidly the war with it's opponents."
"In the other side, the Cult of Sigma, a band of Geodosian renegades rising from the ashes of humanity's desire to exterminate the race in the first years of Geodosian-kind's existance. Having lost a war at the cost of the human denizens' extinction, they had lingered in years of exile in the planet of Nalthor Prime until the appearance of the Thynium Crystals, who gave them psychic powers and opened a way to their victory against their hated enemy, the Geodosian Empire."
"Now, at the moment of their attack of what could be the last defense line for the Geodosian Empire's homeworld, only one question is left: Which side will prevail? Honor? Or peace?"
Now, for some trivia. First of all, most of the games are inspired in one single game: Warhammer 40.000. For the Geodosian Empire, things won't be different, unfortunately. The best we can do for the Legionnaire's Deep Space Suit (These guys need something to travel in space after all.) is to make some changes like shoulders, arms and knees. However, I'll also include a female version of all suits, not just the Legionnaire (will make as safe and sexier as possible, I promisse). I still have some ideas in my head for their vehicles. No clue for ships. Cult of Sigma will have original suit, hover vehicle and ship designs, although they might remember a bit of mixover between Eldar (WH40k) and the Masari (UAW: EA). Characters will be quite original, although the storyline will be too serious (No funny, but remarkable quotes. In fact, I think I can only add ONE funny character to the story). As I was told before, creating something new is nearly impossible today, so the least we can do is get something and make some innovation.
Second of all, story is totally original, despite the fact it might use some relative spins, twists and plots to a few games. Humanity will be totally left out of this mod, as I told, they're playing lazy on Earth, we're concentrating on the main problem location, the Sigma Andron System. Despite that Earth might get just a BIT involved in the story, I might be planning a comeback for them in a possible sequel. Factions will be a bit tough to make them unique, that I'll leave for later.
I'll need some real help from nearly everyone to make this mod, from someone who can make a forum site to 3d modelling. Me, well, I won't be lazy, since I'll be playing voice actor and designing most of the characters and things and writing the main foundations for the mod.

We're still on recruitment stages. Too little progress has been made.
Guys, people, the game hasn't even been released yet...

Just what I was thinking. Recruitment will be hard considering we don't know the SC2 editor.
