Ok before I receive complaints about another active halo rpg already out(there's no end to them!), this is strictly is character development board and recruitment for people interested. This will remain in beta until Pokaman's thread becomes inactive in a few weeks or so to a few months. I will send PMs to everyone interested when active. Due note this based off several of my own assumptions and theories and may not be 100% accurate. No you cannot be the master chief or the Arbiter.
Nothing stupid please:
New classes can be altered or created, for example the resurrection of the prhofit council by appointing new members. Or a new group or Spartans. Sub-races of existing races are allowed, nothing stupid like a grunt/hunter, variations of races are fine. How the fuck am I supposed to know of elite breeding habits? You don't and can't know, try to make an accurate guess that doesn't make you seem like an idiot. No god-modding ether. Such as throwing shields on a hunter or brute. Human ships, and ground forces have shields assuming the elites were kind enough to share.
Alliances:
Humans are allied with elites, and some fractions of other covenant.
Brutes and the majority of the other races of the covenant are the opposing side.
Ancient forerunners and monitor/sentinels are complicated at best.
The sentinials go where ever the monitor goes(and defending of the installation) and prioritize containment and safeguarding of the rings over all else. Looting covenant( they practically jacked everything that wasn't nailed down for their own needs), flood, you get the picture. Don't want to be at the end of that laser.
Ancient Forerunners story is more complicated, somewhat undecided, and you will just have to read along and help me develop the story. Two classes of forerunner exist, combat class forerunner(Believed to be extinct) and the civilian or working class forerunners which humans are descendant from. Read further on as I explain how the fuck forerunners still exist and why. A small guard of secret sentinels and a special purpose monitors exist as helpers for their new world.
I'll fix spelling later so deal with it.
~250 years after the destruction of the second halo(1.)~
In the bleak cold depths of space chance once again guided the fate of the universe. Half of a battle damaged hycon class frigate drifted through space towards a secret ring, one of several not charted or recognized in the forerunner databases. On board a ancient AI and war hero lay dead or dormant. The last of the spartan 2s and a individual who had given humanity hope lay frozen, and quite possibly dead(2.). Also lay dormant in lock down a certain AI remained frozen in time in a sleep mode of her own. The data was corrupted beyond repair of any human or covenant technology.
~later~
The battered ship engulfed in flames as it tore through halo's atmosphere threatening to tear the shabby craft in two. It's presence alerted a certain something to do a specific task which it has so long waited to do.
"The excuse would suffice I suppose" Thought the peculiar AI, hoping that waking his masters 500 thousand years ahead of time would be justified by the crash landing of a unknown ship would do. Even for an monitor of his status heeded the word of his forerunner masters, but an order coming from a combat class was absolute and no questions were to be asked. Nearly an eternity of waiting would make anyone lonely including advanced forerunner tech. The nameless monitor approached the secret doors beneath the colossal control room. He beamed an ancient pass code into the cylinder shaped center of the impervious blast doors. They parted, groaning under years of neglected maintenance. The monitor hovered above his nameless master's resting place, he ran a basic diagnostic on the pair of cryo tubes. One of them didn't make it. He paused for a full 5 seconds before beginning the thawing process. His commander would not be pleased at all. Without a mate his owners could not repopulate, hopefully the other cryo tubes would be intact. He peered into the misty depths of the cryo tube that held the future. Roughly 10 and a half feet tall slept the massive combat class forerunner. Smarter, faster, stronger than the civilian forerunners he made for great things like all other combat classes. His master has expressed extreme interest in crafting his own cryo rather than to leave it to the "brain dead cattle" referred to as civilian class. As a result he survived because of his over-inflated self-superiority. True the civillian classes made the rings, but not without constant supervision from a combat class which led to a pride issue. The acient forerunner hauled himself out of his cryo quickly snapping up a achaic plasma rifle from a nearby table.
"Combat status" He barked.
I'm tired so I'm going to bed now, I'll elaborate later. Don't start off the thread for it's still in beta as I develop the story more.
1. The second halo wasn't destoryed but merely stopped as we can assume, the first and third were destroyed making it two down.
2. Human cryo pods were not designed for 50+ of cryo hirbernation. Most break down from part failure before this.
