Usually when I click on a map to download of off sc.org, a screen would come up asking me if I wanted to open it with a program, or if I wanted to save to disk and I would always choose "Open With". Now, that screen never comes up, and the map always saves to my desktop, which I don't want. It works fine on wbs.org, but not on sc.org. :( How do I get that screen back?

What browser are you using?
If you're on Firefox, you should be able to go to Tools -> options -> Main -> Downloads and specify where you want downloads to go from there.
I'm not sure with IE7.

Ok I see the download thing in the main section of options for firefox, but the only options are "Save files to desktop" and "always ask where to save files", but I don't wanna save the files. I just want to have them opened with a program. :concern:

There should be a "Browse" button next to the box, screenie below.
It's FF3, but FF2 should be no different.
actually you want it to always ask where to save, then you get an option to open it instead.

I don't want Firefox to ask me where to save it! I want it to ask me what to open it with!
Bah.
Why do you want to open it? Wouldn't you rather save it, then play it?
Anyway, what you want is to goto Tools -> Options, goto "Content", click on the "Manage" button at the bottom (File Types).
There scroll down until you find scm/scx and change the action from "save to disk" to "open with default program" or whatever it is you are trying to do.
don't know why firefox has to be so wierd with downloads, half the time I can't get it to just download something automatically, and the other half of the time it asks me where to save it, even after checking that little "always save this file" -- it's so annoying.

I have my FF set to automatically dl' stuff into a folder and then I'll go and do whatever I want with those files, when I want to. Either those being flicks, game maps, sounds and so on and so on it keeps an organized system that I can easily scour through by simply telling my Windows Explorer to sort the files in that folder by types. A lot simpler to handle than some the options I've seen mentioned above. ;)
