For those who know 40k lore, this is te time of the return of Leman Russ.
For those who don't.......It is the 41st milenium. For 100 centuries, the Immortal Emperor has ruled the Imperium, kept in a deathless state only by the courage of his legions of genecticly engineered warriors, and the sacrifice of a thouand psykers a day. The Imperium is assailed from all sides, by alies, by heretics, and the threat of chaos. For in the grim darkness of the far futre, there is only.....war.

The Emperor has risen from death, to godghood. He must first shed his mortal coil, and appoint a succesor. The Primarch Leman Russ has fufilled his oath to retuen, and he is asked by the dying Empero to safeguard the new ruler of the Imperium, for the Imperium must stand if chaos is to be destroyed.
On ancient Terra(known to prehistory as Earth) He speaks to his succesor.
Little do they know what will happen next.........

Ok, you either play as an Imperial, alien or chaos.

I made up the part about the Emperor dying for this RPG.
All can join in.
Now then, PC99, you are the Empress. I'll post you getting this power from the Emperor in the intro.
I will arrive on terra shortly after, the eye will open, spillig abbadon and the vile four onto Terra.
We will fight to fefend Terra, until I am nearly slain. The Empress will then destroy abbadon in single combat, and the four powrs along with him. The warp, no longer hell, but now heaven merges with realspace, and the evil is banished to the gap in dimensions.

BH man, to the rescue!

Chaos are basically (if you have some knowledge of the game, Warhammer 40K) evil versions of Space Marines. They are corrupted Space Marines that turned to the dark gods, and are now against everything Imperial. They use the same weapons as Space Marines, except in their own twisted versions, makes, and designs.

OOC//Protosschick, you are now standing in the Emperor's throne room. The Immotal Lord of humanity is dying and he has called you to confer the mantle of power to you. Basicly, be in awe of him, and do as he says.

Grace stands in the great vastness of the Emperor's Throne room. She looks around herself in awe, this place is so grand and wonderful! The beautiful white stone pillars gleam in the sunlight. And the gorgeous marble floor shines marvelously.

In order to hide her nervousness, Grace looks around in wonder at the place. She has no idea why the Emperor has called her, but just thinking about it makes her tremble. She has never in her life came before the Emperor's presence....."God I hope I don't make a mistake and address him in the wrong way...." Thinks Grace nervously.

Grace looks down at her wardrobe and fidgits with her cloak. She puts the hood on and looks into the floor which shows her reflection.

"Hmm....Hood on or off?" She takes it off which shows her beautiful long curly auburn colored hair with gold streaks.

"Umm.....On." She sticks it back on.

"Okay no off." She puts it back on.

"Okay on...." She puts it back on.

"No, off." She takes it off.

(OOC: lolz, that is so me--:p)

"Oh my God woman make up your mind!!" Shouts a voice behind her.

Startled, Grace spins around and notices one of the guards. Well, he seems like a guard but he has no visible weapons.

"Who are you?" She asks.

"I am one of the honorouble men that protect this grand place, and all those residing in it. And since it seems you are going to be talking with the Emporer, I'll give you some advice. With a pretty face such as yours, leave the hood down, first impression is everything" the man said with a wink.

The two were interupted by another guard coming out of the temple. The man whispered something to the first man, then departed, going back into the temple.

"Ahh, it seems the Emporer wishes to see you, follow me if you will. By the way, I am Xuther."

Xuther walked up the golden stairs with the girl not far behind. He opened one of the large lavishly decorated doors for the girl, and then closed it as he followed her in. The girl gasped as she took in the surroundings, high pillars reaching to the dark roofs like plants reaching out for the suns rays.

"Go on now, no need to be afraid" said Xuther, gently pushing her forward to the Emporer, while he went off to the side.

OOC//The Fang, on frozen Fenris. Mighty Leman Russ has returned. Russ stood on the bridge of his ship, marines of the 13th company around him. "Tem millenia have passed, Great Wolf. In those long years, much of the Imperium has suffered under the corrupt weaklings of the administatum. The foul scum of chaos have nearly taken Cadia. And the Emperor....." "I know." Russ said quietly.
"Then..." "Yes." Once we have gathered our wolfpacks, and the 13 stand as one again, we must go to terra. And we must go before he gets there." "He wouldn't dare. An unholy monster like him could not stand on such holy ground." "Abbadon is an evil too great even for such wards." Russ said.
Around the bridge, men glowered, or spit in hate at the name. "You-know-who will be made to pay if he dares show his face on holy terra again."

IC//"There is not much time." The Emperor said quietly. "I am dying, and the traitorous captain of the Black legion has summoned the hordes in their entirety. The time of the final battle is at hand at last. I will go on into the warp, and destroy the vile four of chaos once and for all, but I need
someone to lead the Imperium ti victory in this realm. You, one who is purehearted, are that one."
The Emperor slumped, coughing. His hand came away from his mouth bloody. "It's too late to save me from death." He said, motioning for Grace to halt. "I have called back a most loyal vassal. Leman Russ will protect you from the enemy. Do not fail, the fate of humanity, nay the galaxy is now in your hands......" The Emperor ceased to breathe. At long last, the Emperor was dead.

"Faster! We must reach Terra!" Leman Russ barked at the ship captain. "We cannot go any faster, Lord Primarch. Any more speed will overload the warp drives." The techmarine Kjarl grumbled testily.
"I'll be lucky if she doesn't throw a tantrum already. I've never asked this much of the war spirit yet.
I just hope she donesn't think it too demanding."

Grace stands there shocked and unmoving, her breathing coming in nervously.

She is......The Empress! But why? She thinks. What have I done to deserve such a title?

She blinks and moves forward to the corpse of the Emperor. She falls to her knees and begins to weep for him.

On the bridge of the Fang's flagship, Kjarl swore. "We've really done it now!" He said, desperately trying to soothe the ship's anger. "Almost there! Another twenty seconds to teleportation range."
"Very well." Leman Russ rose. "I will, this one time, let such a machine move me down to the planet."
"Lord Russ!" "What now, Kjarl?" "We're going to have to stay in high orbit. She's really acting up now, it's going to take some doing to get her calm again." He said. "Very well. Take your time. If she's in that bad of a mood, we're taking a thunder hawk." Russ said, and motion for his wolfguard to follow. The marines filed into the dropship. Six suits of termonator armor.
The drop ship landed without incident.

Captain Brintan of the Imperial Fists quietly walked in. "My lady, the Primarch of the Space Wolves is here." He said dropping to one knee. In the low fire light, his blazing yellow armor looked like a sunrise.

Grace looks up at the man. Her eyes are red, watery, and puffy from crying. She sniffs and stands to her feet.

Wiping her eyes, she lifts the hood of her cloak and pulls it over her head as a sign of mourning. She looks at the man and says, "Give me a moment. I'll be there."

"Yes milady...." says the man as he bows and leaves.

As Grace stands in the throne room with her dead emperor, she takes in a deep breath and wipes her eyes again. She doesn't want to look a mess when she meets the Primarch for the first time.

After gaining her composure, she holds her head high and puts on the facade of the new Empress that she must become.

"So. Terra again. I never forgot. Let's go meet the Emperor then." Leman Russ said. The space wolves walked up the mighty steps to the throne room, for a long time, to the top. Leman threw open the doors. He strode up to the Golden Throne. But something was amiss. The Emperor was nowhere to be seen. He heard a quiet sobbing noise, like a sniffle. He turned to see a smallish woman, only five foot four, standing behind him. "Who are you?" He asked, and then as an after thought, "And why is the Emperor....." Leman saw the golden casket as they wheeled it in. "No...." he gasped.
"My liege.....is he...?" The girl nodded. The wolves bowed their heads. Five terminator helmets were removed to reveal five space marines, their faces dark and leaden with grief. "All of Fenris mours the passing of our Lord." Leman said, a crystal tear sliding down his cheek. "Lord Primarch, this is Grace of Tera. The Emperor named her as his sucessor before...." Captain Brintan could not finish his sentance. The ten foot tall primarch, and his body-guard all turned to look at Grace. Leman fell to his knees, and the rest of the astartes present did the same. "So long as I draw breathe, I am yours to command, my Empress." He said. "For the Empress!" The marines intoned, and stood.

Though this day was supposed to be a happy one.....It was not. Grace mourned the death of the Emperor as if he was her father. As she looked upon the Space Marines and the Primarch himself, she tried to smile.

Gracefully walking over to them, she let her hand rest on the Primarch's shoulder.

"Rise Primarch. I am grateful for your allegience and loyalty. As for my first command.....Accompany the Emperor to his resting place......That is all."

And with that, Grace leaves the throne room and seeks out Xuther.

(OOC: Alrighty Black Hawk, time to do your advisor thing, lolz :p)

Leman Russ bowed. "At once, Empress." The terminators lifted the massive casket, and filed from the room. They walked for what seemed like hours. They finaly came to the plot of ground. A small mausoleum stton there, a golden Imperial eagle marking it as the final resting place of Humanity's leader for over 40 thousand years. It was only then that Leman realized that hundreds of men, marines, and strange women in armor had joined the procession, as well as the occasional man or woman in black. Some bore sniper rifles, some had skull masks, some of these with devices attatched, and the women had crystal guns. "Lord Primarch, the officio assasinorium grieves this day."
A man carrying a sniper rifle said to him. Next to him, a second man doffed his skull helmet, and tried to cosole a sobbing woman in armor, his own grief evident by the tear streaks on his face.
"The sororotias are taking harder than most." He explained. "We assasins are usualy above emotion, but some things are too much to bear." He said, voice shaking. Leman nodded and moved on.
but deep down, he was worried. Eversor assasins were the most bloody-handed and berserk killers
in the Imperium. If it could move even one of these slaughterers to weep openly.......
He shook it off. For the sake of humanity, he needed to be strong. "Servants of the Imperium!
Aten-HUT!" He roared, and began the funeral.

"This is not the time for such a problem! We should have seen this coming and made preparations. What if Chaos decide to come at us at a time like this? We're sitting ducks. Those damn seers, they should have seen this coming!" said Xuther, pacing back and forth in his study.

A man walked in quietly, and waited patiantely at the door while Xuther continued his arguement with himself. When Xuther stopped the man let out a "ahem" that was just audible.

"Oh, Tesja, what is it?" asked Xuther, rather grumpy since his strain of thought was broken. This better be important thought Xuther.

"The Emporer has named the Empress, Lady Grace, as Empress. And Leman Russ has just landed. I just thought you should know sir" said Tesja rather timidly, she had seen Xuther like this many a time, and it wasn't the best time to interupt Xuther.

"Has the funeral started yet?" asked Xuther, hearing some faint orders drift into his study.

"Yes, sir".

"Ahh, I should be there, for the Emporer, and to help the Empress" said Xuther.

He quickly shuffled out of the study, Tesja falling in behind him. While Xuther walked along the halls, furious with himself for missing the beginning of the funeral, he almost bumped into someone coming out of another hall.

"Grace! What are you doing child? You should be at the funeral!" began Xuther, but he quickly dropped to his knees "oh I am sorry Empress, I did not mean to use such a tone with you."

The Empress, quite stricken with sadness does not notice his tone. She looks down at him compassionately.

"Please stand Xuther.....I don't mind. I trust you. I am just.......confused at the moment.....I came to you for some guidance...."

"Then guidance you will get" said Xuther, standing up. "My first word of advice, is to come with me to the funeral. It is one of the most important things at this moment, and his death and your take over of the throne is something that has, and will shock this empire.

"At the funeral, you will most likely be expected to give a speech, especially since you are now the new Emporer. Do not be afraid, whatever you say will not be taken as stupid, no matter what it is. Just follow your heart in what you say, try not to say what you think they want to hear, they will see right through that. Say what your heart tells you to.

"After this, I will give you more guidance in my room, if you care to retire to it afterwards. No one will bother us there, Tesja will make sure of that" said Xuther, leading the way to the funeral, Empress Grace beside him, and Tesja following behind.

When they came to the final hall that led to the funeral, some of Leman Russ's wolf guards flanked them, their royal bodyguards. When they came to the door, Xuther fell behind Grace, letting her step out first. When her foot came out of the door, the whole crowd went silent, and then bowed as her full figure came out into the light.

Leman Russ, then his wolfguard, and then the rest os the assembled soldiers and civilians sank to their knees as the Empress arrived.

Grace stood in front of the whole audience of ppl. She wasnt' used to everyone bowing before her in reverence. Nervously, she glanced around and looked Xuther's way.

He motioned with his hand for her to speak. The Empress Grace steps forward and says in a clear loud voice, "My people! Rise! I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have been chosen with this great task! I promise you all that I shall do my best and rule in the direction that is best for the people of this realm!

Yes, a sad day is upon us....For the Emperor has gone on--But mourn not! Rejoice that you still have your lives! Rejoice that we are prosperous! Rejoice at the fact that you still have each other! Yes, mourn out of respect, but fear not, for a new Empress has come.

I leave now to the procession of our beloved Emperor....Peace be unto you all."

And with that, Grace stepped backwards and motioned for Xuther to come.

"Greetings my fellow warrior.Am am extremely greived to hear of the death of the emporer. He was a great man. He was my mentor, my teacher, my friend. Who has taken the role of emporer now may i ask as I wish to pledge my service to them."

"Good of you to come, Helbrect. I will soon have need of your warriors aid." Leman said. "The Chaos muster for an attack, and Cadia, already weak from the assault recently, is their target. I am requesting your men procede there at once and fortify the planet. My own warriors will join you shortly."

OOC//Prepare for a loosing battle, as Cadia must fall so chaos will rage on to Terra. Then the real battle begins.

"The new Emperor is an Empress, a young woman chosen by the Emperor himself." Leman said, not sure how the High Marshal would take the news that the imperium's new ruler and deiety was a girl
of 20.

OOC: To the Former Chaos Knight, the Former Shadow Assassin shall hunt thee to thy death :ninjal: :ninja: :ninjar:. Anyway.. my Character will be properly named Tial. A Chaos Sorcerer-Marine.

In the abyss, for thousands upon thousands, Tial had been trapped once again. Since the burning of Prospero, or the days of the Heresy, he had only been out a handful of times. Tial now hungered with bloodlust, for he had been deprived of the thing he loved most about being a marine, when he was one of the Imperium faithful and currently as a member of the swirling chaos void. But now things all changed.

Suddenly, he was drawn out of the void. There he saw the Primarch of the Thousand Sons Chapter, Magnus. "HAIL LORD PRIMARCH!" yelled Tial, with the other Chaos Marines. "Lord, how did you free us?" asked Tial, Magnus just laughed and said, "The Chaos grants us the faithful to free or slay the slaves of the false god. But that false god has died, and now we must return to the days of the Heresy once more! But first we have a little pit stop to make. It is time we return the favor for Prospero."

With that the sound of roaring jubilee filled the unknown halls. "Then prepare for the assualt on Fenris once we free the rest of your brothers." Tial lifted his cursed blade up, as he raised his fist high into the air. "TO PROSPERO, REVENGE FOR THE BURNING OF OUR HOMEWORLD!" Roaring filled the unknown hall once again.

"Her audiaence chamber." Leman said. "Follow me."

Helbrect followed the man. Eventually the reached the hall and he was shown who the empress was. Helbrect noticed that she was extremely beautiful and that he would surely die for her if he had to. He walked up to her and introduced himself "Greetings my Empress"(he bows)"I am the chamipon of the late Emporer and I pledge my own and my bretherens service to you. You need not fear anything now as we will protect you with our lives.I hope we will get to know and learb the ways of eachother."

Grace smiles pleasantly at the man. Loyalty was a quality that she greatly admired. She approaches him and touches his shoulder.

"I thank you for your loyalty my champion. I hope that you will not have to defend me in the near future. I would not want to lose one of my most loyal warriors." :)

"We will depart for the incursion sector at once. We have one solar week to get to Cadia."

"Okay let the cleansing begin!" Helbrect walked out of the chamber and down to the bunker where his warriors were already stationed out side their ships. Helbrect then shouted out their chant
"With the bolter, cleanse the unclean!"
"WE WILL CLEANSE!"
"With the flamer, purify the unholy."
"WE WILL PURIFY!"
"With the chainsword, purge the corrupt."
"WE WILL PURGE!"
"With the missile, kill the impure."
"WE WILL KILL!"
"OKAY LETS MOVE!" They all ran into their fleet ships and prepared for take off.

Tial smiled. He now hovered over a hologram of Fenris. The homeworld for the Space Marine chapter known as the Space Wolves. "Stupid slaves. Now I will show hem myself, the true calling, the true gods. Their god has died, mine still survives. I can not wait until I meet the warriors of light."

He grinned sadistically. Clutching his beloved runesword by the hilt, he yeurned to cleave a Space Marine alongside his brothers on their homeworld. Then burning it like they had done to Prospero. "We will have retribution for their haneous act against us."

(OOC: My bad Tanain! I'm sure you've already seen why I haven't been on but if not: I've been busy with work, church, and life :p For the last two nights in a row I've been coming home at 3:00 in the morning my time. But anywayz, before I go to bed I guess I should post :p)

Grace smiles pleasantly at the man. Loyalty was a quality that she greatly admired. She approaches him and touches his shoulder.

"I thank you for your loyalty my champion. I hope that you will not have to defend me in the near future. I would not want to lose one of my most loyal warriors." :)

"I see you are already learning, very good Empress" muttered Xuther as he came from the shadows behind her. He had watched the whole talk, careful not to make a sound. He did not wish the Empress to know he was here, and just wanted her to be natural. "These men see what I see in you, a true leader, and the perfect 'replacement'. Now you wished to speak to me about something?"

Xuther put his hands back within the large sleeves of his cloak. Will she be able to withstand the brewing Chaos legions and bring this Empire back to it's former size? I can only hope for the sake of our people.

Grace's face lights up. Though she has not known Xuther for a long time, she enjoys his company and wisdom.

She nods and says, "Xuther....I need your help. What am I to do? What needs to be fixed? Is everything okay within my Empire? I'm not sure what to do if I have no idea what is going on--I was wondering if you could help me with that." :)
