I'm kind of tired of seeing so many threads about new groups on the front page, so from now on any announcements for new groups should be posted in this thread. Ideas for new groups can also be posted here. With the exception of the threads that already exist (which will probably soon be closed due to spamming), any new thread made about a group will just be merged with this one, so don't do it!

The Debate Room

Basic idea:
- Usergroup that hosts a weekly/monthly debate
- Invite only to ensure quality of debate
- People have an incentive to go off and research instead of bullshitting their way through a debate
- Heavily moderated to prevent "tardism" (if some tards manage to get invited)

My reasoning for this is that it forms sort a second arm of the IR. The debates are proposed beforehand, giving the participants time to go and research what they are going to be talking about. I've seen so many bullshitters in the IR that I tend to avoid it completely.

By having organised debates with a select few people threads actually have quality and are free of irritating retards who want to spew out a few sentences of illogical crap that is really only there because they 1) want to feel intelligent just by being able to claim they "participate" in the IR and 2) want to raise their post count.
