With the new addition of usergroups I have seen a perfect opportunity to have another go at bringing an interest in books to this forum. I therefore am considering making an invite only Literature Group where like minded people can get together and discuss books.

However, if there is not enough interest I would not like to proceed as I do not want to be a member of a "Lets see how many retards we can get in one place" like at least one group is already proving to be (and shockingly it's not BAMF).

Interested?

I like the idea... But I just don't have the time for it :(

I'd join it, but I think you should focus more on fiction, namely science fiction or fantasy - that's pretty much all I read for fun. Unless your really persuasive.

Oh and by the way, I'm on the last damn chapter of Northern Lights you bastard. ;p

Just what group are you talking about here?

I would definitely agree with this. I mean, why not? It is literature, and I like literature(not all forms of it) but what the heck? Make a Literature Usergroup!

I would join, but I would have to agree with GroG... I read fantasy. (Sword of Truth, Icewind Dale, Wheel of Time, etc.)

Is fantasy even literature?

Yup, fantasy is my thing too. I hope for this group to have potential.

I'm in.

Is fantasy even literature?

Hardly. Maybe there's some really high-brow elitist Fantasy that might be considered that, but I've yet to find it.

-EDIT: Lol, yeah. The Lord Of The Rings kinda fits that description.

Ever heard of putting wild imaginations in paper? Is that not literature? Well, we got Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time, and the other High Fantasy books.

Sorry about the use of the word literature. I just thought book group sounded too childish. Literature can include anything from leaflets to Tolstoy, and for me fantasy is a BIG yes.

Anyway, i've got six yes's which hopefully will equal six like minded people so I believe I will go ahead and make the group now.

There's one user who selected yes but have not posted. Please post here for an invitation.

I'd be interested in a group like this but I'm wondering if there'll be books besides fantasy, or fiction (Yes, I've read Icewind Dale and liked it.)
