The link above shows new research that plastic might not be so good after all. I've been drinking out of the wrong types of plastic in a while. I need to change what I drink my water out of :/, I value my health extremely high.
What bothers me the most is that the FDA does all of these studies on our food and such and deem them fine even if they can cause serious health complications. Such as aspartame and MSG. While countries like Japan keep their people healthy by using things like stevia and the new plastic resin.
I think Japan is so advanced they should be considered the only first world country. Everywhere else is falling behind because they all they care about is imperialism and don't care about their people so much.

It's fine to drink from plastic, even cans have the same effect. If you're too paranoid to not drink from plastic, do what WarInSerbia said, drink from glass. The chemical would probably only affect you if you drink from the same plastic, all the time.

Hmpft, I even remember my science teacher telling us about this.

Plastic? Not bad!

Don't fall into the trap of health issue mongering that happens so frequently with the media these days.
The article tends to up-play the prevalence of Glucuronide but not the actual Bisphenol A, which is the substance causing risks. The article fails to address whether Glucuronide in the system can come from other sources. I am not exactly an expert on Glucuronide, but Wikipedia says
A glucuronide, also known as glucuronoside, is any substance produced by linking glucuronic acid to another substance via a glycosidic bond. The glucuronides belong to the glycosides. which leaves me believing that in can come from other sources, not just the barely-harmful Bisphenol A.

Besides, the article even points out that some scientists say that there is no issue.
Currently, though, it continues to be used in Europe; the EFSA last year found no reason for alarm based on rodent studies. European scientists cited multigenerational rat studies as reassuring and noted that mouse studies may be flawed because the tiny rodent is more susceptible to estrogens. That sounds like a pretty damn good backup to the safety of consuming Bisphenol A to me.

Vast numbers of people die each year from alcohol related issues.
Vast numbers of people die each year from cigarette related issues.
Bisphenol A is not something that should be cared about in light of other major issues our society faces.

Drinking from a plastic cup is about as harmful as drinking from a paper cup. There's a simple rule of thumb for plastic drinking cups--if it looks like it's getting signs of wear, chunk it. Otherwise, you will develop no serious problems from drinking out of a cup. And honestly that shit about Japan being the "only first world country" has to be some of the wildest BS I've read in a while. Seriously, wth are you babbling about?

True, but I'm someone who wants to be as healthy as possible.

And as for Japan. If you can find a country as technologically as developed as Japan. Hats off to you.

Hell, why don't you only breathe through a gasmask so that the trace amounts of random particles and chemicals in the air don't get into your lungs?
Or why don't you wear some kind of rubber full body suit all the time to protect you from germs getting to your skin?

These suggestions are about on the same level as caring about Bisphenol A.

Also, if you want to be AS HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE, then get off the internet and go run.

Just because you churn out rudimentary robots like candy doesn't mean you're the be-all, end-all in technological development.

Because I live in a bucolic area in the middle of nowhere. Air pollution is at a minimum. Aside from that the body has ways to rid itself of toxins, it isn't like my goal is to cut myself off of all toxins.
You confuse me with someone like bubble boy who tries to cut himself off from pathogens. I'm not concerned about pathogens. I never get sick due to my health. Besides, it isn't healthy to totally cut off pathogens to the body. If something stops being used, it degrades. And I don't want my body's immune system degrading.
As for running. I do that all of the time. Unfortunately the body has a limit to how far and fast it can go, as well as a limit on what it can take for training before it burns out and your performance goes downhill like mad.

Meh, as for Japan. I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.
