Unofficial WB Sins of the Solar Empire Tourney.

This is a signup/interest check thread, to see if there's enough of a player base to have this. Winner would get bragging rights, if nothing else (Working on beating something forum-side out of AJ)

Tourney would be standard single-elimination bracket setup, with each pair getting about a week to play their game and post results back here.

So, would there be any interest in competitions for galactic conquest?

It's funny, as much as I like SOTSE, the games take so long to play that I much prefer Supreme Commander (especially Forged Alliance). I suppose to someone used to FreeCiv or the like, it's not so bad.

I suggest we play through hamachi, as there can be quite the bit of lag online.

Hamachi is an application that emulates LAN conditions for a given userset.

Okay....I guess. I haven't actually played online yet, so I haven't experienced the lag, but whatever. What maps and how many people would we be playing with?

The best way to accurately judge a players skills (adaptablility being included in skills), would be a competition of points rather than elimination. (3 points for a win, 1 point for a loss kind-of-deal)

@ChimtheGrim21: Dowload it, don't spend money on it. You don't need the disk to play (for those of you still putting your Sins disks in, rofl), and if we play over Hamachi, you don't need a cd key.
