the situation on this forum is getting bad to worse. Why there can't be a good Mod?
Seriously, there's been no sing of any moderation in the map forge since basan left...

Vhareaun (http://www.warboards.org/member.php?u=4410) & Kongurous (http://www.warboards.org/member.php?u=559) are always online in the IRC chat but they dont do nothing...

Guys at the map forge and I suggest of having a nomination for map forge moderator. That is all for now.

I suggest you consider using the "Report Thread" tool, rather than complain about a lack of moderators. ;)
that is to say: the map forge is nowhere near active enough to need a dedicated moderator, if anything were that bad you should report it and one of our staff will surely look into it.

it's why that tool is there.

Basan being a moderator in the forum did not impact the forum's posting rate.
If you look you'll notice 2 threads with posts in the last week.

You don't need a moderator, you need to report things when they're against the rules.
Speaking of which you corrected someone about advertising and then proceeded to do so yourself, perhaps you should think about things a little more. ;)

But I have to second WiB, Basan was sure hell one great mod, and not only on Map Forge. He didn't need the Report Post, he was always around when you need him. ;)

Basan's gone now. Thus that little "Report Post" button is actually a useful tool again. A forums greatest form of moderation doesn't come from the people who wear green tags. It's from the members who care enough to take a few extra minutes to inform a capable person that there's a bad post/thread so that action can be taken. You want moderation in the Map Forge? Then why not go and be your own little mini-moderator and use the tool you're equipped with.

Wait a minute, let me get this straight here.

You want me to go into an area of a forum I neither know nor visit and moderate it when I don't see any reported posts from there? Let me tell you what a lack of reported posts tells me. It tells me that all is well in the kingdom, so to speak, so I can kick back and relax. I respond to reported posts as soon as I can, which is usually between the "immediately" and "within 10 minutes of reporting" time frame. There is absolutely no reason for you to accuse me of laziness or my fellow staff members when I make it a personal mission to look at every reported post.

You want the staff to pay attention to that area? Start fulfilling your responsibilities as a member and just report the damn posts and we shall start fulfilling our responsibilities as staff members and deal with them.

The great Kong bashes the poor WiS in agony.
Wait, I kinda got carried away there. o:

Wait, WiS, I don't think you understand. Just because Kongorous and Vhaerun are moderators, doesn't mean they should give a damn about everything you are into. So you are in Map Forge, you found a badass post you want to get rid of, hit the Report Post button, it works wonders. Mods don't really need to tail you and when you see "shit! that's an ugly post! i should wait for a mod to get rid of it, they are always around anyway.", they won't just delete it for you out of nowhere; because they have their own area of responsibilies they are always patrolling in and you need the Report Post button for proper attention.

Don't be afraid to report -- I've made a living out of it. :P

Seriously though, if you want it moderated, someone will have to warrant it to be moderated. IE: Having enough bad posts (not necessarily postcounts) to merit a moderator.

The only way to get an "involved mod" (which is what WIS is asking for), is to actually get some more posts/anything flowing into the section.

Dont whine about the MODs when there is nothing to moderate
