I'm sure you're all familiar with muslim anger and violence for a few christians saying muslims were violent.
So what happens when muslims accuse the pope of being a nazi? (link http://sweetness-light.com/archive/palestinian-weekly-portrays-pope-as-nazi-in-cartoon)
This is what happens...

So a few pll called some of them violent? and pope gets bashed. not like the pope said it. and the pope clears things up as if to say sorry that they said it.
One more thing,
Is this line not saying that the pope is violent?
''Now Muslims no longer have to worry about the Pope unleashing his legions upon them ''

All I see is that what doesn't happen is Christian protesters
The pope is trying to a transreligion peace, and considering the comparison of fundamentalist christians and fundamentalist muslims, what he said in that speech might not be too untrue.

Okay, if you're going to try and hover you might as well hover. If you didn't know the pope made some comments about how violent muslims are. They started rioting, and protesting and shit. Than the pope makes comments about how "muslim and chirstianity" this shit and that shit and how they're not violent. It's not just about the articles its about the ideas, and the choices behind the popes decisions. Welcome to the real world.
Who listens to dutch cartoonists? Seriously, what kind of person would jail a teacher for letting her kids name a teddy bear muhammed? Seriously, who cares...

IDK what the OP's intent is...note how nobody threatened to suicide bomb, assassinate, or otherwise slaughter a bunch of innocents as retribution for a cartoon. If anything, it just shows Muslims as petty vindictivists, imo. "Make a cartoon about our holy man? Why, that's offensive to the extreme, worthy of death! Wait...here's a cartoon about your holy man."

Oh, I see, you want some current news because you're lazy. Would you like a muffin to go with your internet forum news?
Well today's issue is concerned with two issues: Turkey sending in troops in part of Iraq, and the Iraq prime minister's fantastic failed offensive versus shite militias.

Apparently Turkey feels like killing kurds that have attacked them. Lots of similarities between what the US and they did in a war on terror (and no, I don't mean exactly, but someone will probably still misquote me. Who could that be?) Read the story.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=89266065
A week ago, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki vowed to crush militias loyal to Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr in the southern oil city of Basra and in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. Six days later, he ended up suing for peace with people he described as "worse than al-Qaida." Now he is weakened, and dealing with the aftermath.
And apparently you want me to explain the stories now. So here it goes...
This story is about how the Iraqi prime minister shot his mouth off, and got his ass pulled out of the frying pan by the US troops in Iraq.
This was supposed to be a stable government, but I'm wondering what they're doing declaring ultimatums on each other. Read the story and form your own opinions!
Wasn't that a nice april fools present for that the Iraqi prime minister gave himself?
And I hope you're aware of the magnitude of hypocrisy in your post Ubergopher.
(Oh, and btw these stories are from 2008)

No. If you can find an issue from 2006 or fuck, 1321 that wasn't already beaten to death, then fucked twice by a necrophiliac I'd be more than willing to discuss it until we're both sick of it.

I don't doubt that since at the beginning of the post you said they were current. Memory problems?
As for Turkey, good for them from what little I've read (I'm currently busy with packing and cleaning for a 8 month vacation) the PPK deserves a good ass kicking. I've met a couple aircrew from Turkey, they were good people, I hope they're getting to kick ass.
As for the military operation in Iraq, sounds like a complete clusterfuck and the IA bit off more than it could chew. To bad, there is no doubt in my mind that when Sadr is removed from Iraq, either by metal or old age the country will get much better.
