Okay, so apparently the U.S. was to deliver some nuclear arms fuses to Finland or something, and instead they end up in China, which the U.S. claims to be a mistake. Now China's pissed, U.S. is 'investigating,' and I'm sure the Finnish are just like 'wtf?'
Anyways, an accident? Seriously? What, the Pentagon sends nuclear fuses to China and says 'oops'? I'm sorry, but I really have trouble believing that.
Although, if ever you wanted to start a war with China, there's a good way to do it...

what do the Finns need the nuclear fuses for, anyway ? To use as bottle caps ? Man, they don't need nukes, they've got their balls. Can you post a link to that suspicious piece of news ?

Sure, here are a few articles that I've read concerning the issue. When it comes to Finland, I haven't heard if that was the intended destination or not. That was just by word of mouth from one of my college instructors.

Hope these help clear up the confusion a bit. Well, as much as it can be cleared, anyways.

Nuclear bits ending up in a box labelled batteries?
Disturbingly plausible as an accident if you think about it, cock-ups happen left right and centre in EVERY organisation. Ones run by governments have a lot more, its in the nature of things.
I wonder which poor sod who ordered nuclear fuses ended up with helicopter batteries?

"WTF, where are OUR HELICOPTER BATTERIES? Wait, we have pieces to nuclear missiles. STFU guys, don't tell them anything, we want this."
:oOkay, some things you got wrong. Read the washington post article in Jaxander post. Nuclear fuses were devilvered to Taiwann (or however you spell it) instead of helicopter batteries. If you didn't know, China hates Taiiwan (which is strangely backed by the US which is why they arne't overrun with Chinese rice shooters). So yeah, China has a reason to be pissed. And this is the IR btw. And the US stopped waging wars with their own soldiers after the seventies with the hippie movement, but it stopped when the Bushe's came to office. :( Notice Afghanistan and the Russians from earlier. (Please tell me you know about the Russian invasion of Afghanistan)
And the fault lies with Hill Air Force base in Utah. YES, GO UTAHNS! Wait... that's a bad thing...
(electrical) fuses that are used on the Mk12 Minuteman nuclear missile.
Electrical fuses aren't as bad as the nuclear ones though. Still, it'd be interesting to know that Taiwaan has a minuteman missile. So if and when China invades they'll be in for a rude awakening. No Finns were given nuclear weapons because they don't need them. what do the Finns need the nuclear fuses for, anyway ? To use as bottle caps ? Man, they don't need nukes, they've got their balls. Can you post a link to that suspicious piece of news ? Oddly enough, for some reason I have a new found respect for the Finns :P
You can tell your college instructor he was proven wrong by MR ANDERSON! POW POW! (Throw in an extra pow too.)
I'll fix your thread though by proving that the US supplied the Chinese with missile techonology during the Clinton stint though. (It's not my fault I don't like the guy, but I see him as a corporate/ elitist tool. I don't care about the crap the media reported on.)

The former Hughes chief executive, C. Michael Armstrong, and the current vice chairman, Steven D. Dorfman, testified that their aggressive and successful lobbying to persuade the Clinton administration to loosen controls on Chinese launches of U.S. satellites was intended only to protect the company's multibillion-dollar contracts in China. The executives explained that they resorted to Chinese rockets to launch their spacecraft because of inadequate U.S. launch capabilities. DUN DUN DUN!
Taiiwan (which is strangely backed by the US which is why they arne't overrun with Chinese rice shooters).
It isnt all that strange if you look at it, the people who set up Taiwan were backed by the US as far back as the second world war I think.

Thanks, mranderson, for the info. I guess I did kind of jump the gun on what I said. But hey, that's nothing new for me! :D

:shiftyr:AUGH! These one liners are killing me. I don't want to flag people's posts, Doc Zera where are you?
And Singo I was being sarcastic with the Taiwan reference to China. We backed China (NO Taiwan country yet) in ww2, in 1949 there was a communist revolt on the mainland, and two million peeps went to taiwan with a leader to "eventually reclaim the mainland." Tension ever since. We didn't back them since WW2. BAM!

I don't like this article because it makes Clinton look like he tried to not help China ><
