View Full Version : Physics Presentation Videos
Our physics class required us to create a PowerPoint presentation WITH ANIMATIONS OF ANY KIND. It will be a requirement. And I said, "Oh, sure http://209.85.48.9/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif". So our class was divided into groups of 6. In my group we are 7 members because the total number of students in our physics class is 43. Anyway, the more the merrier.
The videos I whipped up here are the opening intro and the closing credits. The rest are in powerpoint format so I can't possibly upload it here :)

Some say that the intro vids has very little connection to our topic. But that was just the intro. Several much shorter clips comprise the rest of the presentation. :)

love it sarge. 'tis brilliant.
The intro video concept is very nice and nicely executed for the most part. Only thing I don't care for is how you go from a dirty sci-fi concept into a simplistic tooney concept. It doesn't really "mesh" but, since it's a school project, it'll do fine.
Overall I'll give it a 7.5/10 for an intro credit video.
Credits vid wasn't bad either but: Why are you displaying names twice? Usually you do specific names either 1st or last but not both. Maybe with the extra clips added it won't be as bad but, watching them one right after the other, it seems a little redundant.
My :2cents:

Lol, movies and TV series do it, you know :P
:)
Good, really Good.
I'm justa a newbie in 3Ds so, this is a very good reference for me.
Bookmarked.

Awesome. Did you make the models for the vid?
Awesome. Did you make the models for the vid?
Yes. Most were just simple models like the glass and the dynamite. But the mechanical arm in the first video and the robot with improved mechanical arm in the second video took some time to make. ^^

Astig, tol!
What program did you use? I'm currently using Blender and Anim8or, could you recommend another program to use?
You can always use 3ds Max, pare :D

Hehe
You're right. But the ATM, I find it too hard to download a program like that (I mean, swoosh over two gigs, and I'm on a flaky smartbro connection, so... :D). Anyways, I'll pay Glorietta a visit someday and try to look for 3DS Max.
Ahem.. after I get my copy of 3Ds, I'd definitely ask you to guide me along (I'm a noobie at 3Ds hehe).
C'ya!

If your class is really about acoustics, it might have been better to include some acoustics in the videos instead of just robot arms.
Other than that, the models are really awesome.
