I've seen a map where the psi storm did around 2k damage in 1 casting.

I would like to know how to do this for my own ums game.
Any1's help would be appreciated (^O^)

You can't change the amount of damage for a psi storm. Other than casting a lot of them in the same place, they do the same amount of damage each time. Somewhere around 90 I think.

I think it's about 37 damage per second. I don't know why it's exactly 37 but I'm told that is it.

its probably quite true. psi storm lasts 2-3 seconds and it deals about 115 damage with each storm

nope. the damage doesnt stack. would be overpowered otherwise

i think that ling666 is right, if you cast a lot of them in the same place it will do more but i cant imagine it doing 2k dmg

You're wrong on both counts.

So are you.

Not being a mapper, I'm kinda disappointed that you guys wouldn't know about (Unused) Upgrade 60. It adds damage to the psi storm, as well as a bunch of other stuff. To further inform yourselves, refer here (http://www.maplantis.org/index.php?wiki=48). It only works in BW, as an added note.

And Ahzz is right about the stacking thing.

Beware about using that upgrade though, as it also pumps up worker damage (SCV's, probes, etc) and building armor.

I had fun making a worker wars map by spamming this upgrade. Also, according to DatEdit here, it does about 14 damage a second.

Not necessarily per 'second', but per 'hit'.

No it won't. You're both wrong. Way...way off.

Well, that will be useful to know. I've always wondered about that.

I've never needed unused upgrades before, never seen any list of what they do (although I've looked through them in the editor), and I avoid maplantis like the plague. Thanks though.

See what you don't know because of it :P.

I've seen that happen too, made me question what the templar damage was, I thought it might have just varied (since the enemy character was extremely high HP). I just passed it off as a UMS thing though.

Isn't it possible to modify the weapon damage directly in a UMS map? Psi Storm's damage isn't hard-coded; it is determined by the weapon. Or does the setting not apply when you change it?

Edit:

Nevermind, I guess it doesn't apply the weapon list from the chk file directly, but only ones that units use.

Legendofflame (flametrunks) pwned this technique in his Naruto Ledgendary Battle.

I tried to do it, and screwed up completely.
I countered with a corsair's disruption web :P

IIRC it does either 125 or 128 damage. But it might have been nerfed, it's been ages since I read that.
