Well, I lost my ds :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:, and so I'm wondering if it doesn't come up, should I sell the rest of the games and things I own for it, then get a wii, or buy a replacement DS lite?

It depends, do you go out a lot? do you stay home often?are you fat?

answer that if you want but, I think I'd go with the DS, I'm actually having more fun with my games on the DS than the wii, but if you want Brawl, Then get a Wii

I'd get a Wii...they have a lot of fun party games (even if many of them are for only two players), and Super Smash Brothers III (Brawl) launches this coming Sunday in the US.

The DS is portable, as you may have figured out, so that's a big plus.

But the Wii, man, motion-sensitive stuff...but its so hard to find!

But the DS -- great gaming catalogue of old N64 remakes...but the screen is so tiny and you're rarely playing with other people...

You decide. What do you want? I hope at least a little of that helped.

DS's are fun, but the Wii has better games like LoZ: Twilight Princess, Brawl, and the next Resident Evil game: The Umbrella Chronicles, and maybe even the newest Far Cry game will be fun.

Ok, I'll try to get a wii. And other than the fact that theyre mirrored, there's no difference between LoZ: TP's right? Because I beat the gamecube version.

i wouldnt say go a WII for sure, IMO the DS has a way better lineup then the WII.

The WII is worth it, but what stoped you from getting a WII earlier; you only want one now cause youv lost your DS.

With TP, its the same game plus WII controls and its mirrored; i own the GC version myself so theres no point in me playing the WII version.

But the wii version is wayyyyy wayyy better to play than gamecube. Not worth buying the same game twice of course, but wii TP > gamecube TP.

I'd go wii over DS, metroid and brawl (I'm guessing will be) are better than most DS games put together.

Oh, well, the GC version is much better.

Agreed. Did you know that the entire game was reversed just because most people play the Wii right handed, but Link is left-handed?

I'm a lefty, and that really annoyed me to absolutely no end.

Brawl is really the big seller for the Wii -- hype is really building right now...let's hope the don't pull a Valve off and delay it the day before it's set to release, eh? That'd be a crying shame.

Wii: WiiSports, WiiPlay, Zelda:TP (which you've played), Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, SSB:Brawl, Mario Kart Wii (soon), Wii-Connect to download old games

DS: Zelda: PH, New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart DS, Rehashed N64 games, Final Fantasy III, Sonic Rush & SR II, Advance Wars III, Metroid Prime Hunters

Other than that, the only speculative games coming out for either system I know of that sound interesting is a Dragon Warrior game for the Wii, a Final Fantasy CC II game for the Wii, and Wii Fit. As for DS, I know there other strong RPG games not mentioned as above, as well as Ninja Gaiden DS - which is a solid adventure game.

The DS is fairly cheap right now, and extremely mobile as well. Don't take this decision lightly, there are great games for both systems out as well as TBA.

If you have internet to hook up your Wii, I'd probably for sure get that. But if you don't, you might reconsider, since they don't have any huge solid single player games out except Mario Galaxy, Zelda (which you've played), and Metroid. So, 250$ for 3 games is pretty steep, IMO, and you wouldn't really be able to download any more off Wii Connect.

Flip a coin?

but seriously I would recommend getting both is possible, otherwise stick with your DS while the joys of a wii are great, if you're consistently strapped for cash DS games tend to be cheaper.

Don't know if you've seen this (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6184585.html?action=convert&om_clk=latestnews&tag=latestnews;title;2) yet, but if Copper Innovations Group succeeds:

Copper Innovations Group is seeking damages plus interest, legal fees, and an injunction permanently prohibiting Sony, Nintendo, or their agents from infringing upon the patent.

= death to Wii's wonderful wireless technology.

I say get the Wii, 'cause if they succeed, no more Wii, at least not in the US. Get it while it still lives.

If you don't live in the U.S. or don't mind another language (I don't think this was an international patent), this isn't a problem.

Money is also a factor.
The Wii costs way more, not to mention the new game that you'll buy.
If you get a new DS, you'd already have the games.
I say go Xbox 360 ^_^
Okay, jk.
Tbh, when the Wii came out i thought it was gona be a failure, Game-Wise. I thought that Nintendo would have a hard time coming up with ideas for games, since swinging a controller around can only go so much, idea-wise.
Other then that, personally, i say DS.

Heres the end all to the debate, the DS has a Headset BAM GG.
But really the DS IMO has more one player games (heaps of final fantasy type RPGs), whereas on the WII well we have got party games/mainly kids games not that its a bad thing but to me the DS software is aimed at teens, whereas for the wii its 11 yr olds

I own a WII, but comeon.

Go for the Wii. Even if Brawl was the only game on the Wii, I would get the Wii. Brawl is game of the life man.

Wii. Ask your local gamestop, they had 2 in the back....

Twilight Princess is way more fun on the wii. I've played both versions and quite frankly the Wii version has HD. Nuff Said?

Oh and the wii has opera lol, and it works well.... Sell off your GameCube as well.. Wii plays both just in case you didnt know...

I know wii plays both. But then, with the wii, don't you have to pay money to download things off the Virtual Console? And all the other features and things?

Yep, games off the VC cost credits which are essentially dollars. They do have different costs for different games though, like NES games are cheaper than SNES games.

You might want to consider surfing around on IGN.com and looking at which consoles have games you'd rather play and which has a lineup coming out soon that you are interested in, as well.
