View Full Version : a little problem
Does anybody know where I can find a good anti-hack?
I've been hacked three times in two days by five guys.
i've just searched the forums (why didn't i think of that before?) and found that some people said "an anti-hack is atill a hack"
I'm pretty sure that anti-hacks don't give anyone an advantage in the game. (unless the hacker doesn't know how to play without their precious hacks)
as a side question, where did all of these hacks come from?:concern:

Well, there are a variety of hacks.
Funny and controversially enough, the easiest way to tell from a hacker and remove him painlessly is using a hack itself. Most have exploit detection and blacklisting features, like Real time ownage hack, for example, but I mean, how were you hacked? Host hacked, drophacked, etc?

I know heinermann was working on an anti-host hack. Wonder what happened to it. Anyway, there are no anti hacks except the ICCUP launcher. Which only applies on the ICCUP server.
Playing pub on East is bound to have hacks.
Almost gaurenteed in noob 2v2 temple maps with all those fucking zerg money hacks. Best bet is too scout early and if you spot like ~5 hatcheries then just leave. Even better is play iCCup or Europe server
but I mean, how were you hacked? Host hacked, drophacked, etc?
he used a zerg mineral hack, a name changer, and i'm not sure but i think that there was an ultimate selection hack in there too.

Hacks on public servers are pretty much unavoidable, fact of the matter is that they happen and you cant do anything about it. I do however find it hard to believe that people are actually having a hard time finding non-hacked games on battle.net. I've played hundreds of games on USEast and I have only played against a hacker a handful of times. All you can really do is avoid hackers.
ICCUP launcher, but you have to play on their server. The people there are really good, so get ready to get your ass kicked. But you'll get good really quick if you stick with it and try your best.

Name spoofing is harmless to the game itself, it's just for fun.
Zerg mineral hack, on the other hand, is a game wrecker. Most hacks detect and alert when a player uses mineral hacks, often times a big in your face alert.
From that point on, you can just leave the game, as once a mineral hack is used, it's pretty much pointless trying to defeat that player.
Or you could drophack.
The only real way to stop hacking in public games is to hack a bit yourself.
This is if you can have the self control, that is. If not, just find some private games with friends.
