Recently, I started playing Starcraft again- I played around 10 times no problem.... but I tried single player and, after I start the game, I can count to right around 12 (seconds) and my entire computer shuts off and reboots. WTF? Help would be greatly appreciated.

-A side note: I did use multi-player hacks, and before I get flamed for it, it was for use of RPs only. So I could see what everyone was up to and no one was spamming shit.

But, I thought about this, and I deleted the hacks and it still does it. I'm about to try multi-player again... see if that works. :concern:

EDIT: Don't say overheating because I just got done playing 3 hours of Counter Strike Source. Ill post my specs in a minute if needed.

Double Edit: Well, did it in the multi-player lobby before I could even join a game. :concern:

Try reinstalling.

Some of the hacks might still be hiding around in your starcraft folders and opening upon running the program. I would suggest reinstalling like SilverCrusader said and then not installing hacks

I'd also have to agree with SilverCrusader, it's better if you just reinstall it. If that doesn't work then I can't help you anymore.

It might be RAM issues? I couldn't play WoW at one point of time because of faulty RAM sticks. I could be in-game for about a minute before the game crashing. I sent the sticks back and got them replaced. Works fine now.

Try running a RAM stress test like Memtest (http://www.memtest86.com/) for 20 minutes. I used this program to discover that my ram couldn't write data on certain spots of it.

well my guess, is that your hard drive is full to the rim, so when you are playing your hard drive fills slowly, so then your pc terns off there for reboot that might be your problem. or your power strip is bad, and you need a new one, or your power supply is also bad and finely but not least your outlet could also be bad. I hope I helped good luck
