I'd just like to say that the free and open source office suite OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/) (specifically, their Impress application) can also play and create PowerPoint Presentations.

Or you can use Microsoft's PowerPoint Viewer (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=428D5727-43AB-4F24-90B7-A94784AF71A4&displaylang=en).

Not good. but not bad, I'll rate it as 4/10. Sorry if low but I'm a little critic.
You could have done a lot better, taking advantage of Autoshapes and their deformations, you could have used paths with little more detailing of human movements.

Yeah... What I'm doing now is a bit better... The ones submitted here are a bit old... but, hey, I'm a 11 y.o. Of course they suck :|

So why are you submitting stuff that you will knowingly admit sucks? Surely the point is to actually try the best you can, and then get technical advice which you can then use to improve your work. Simply sitting back going 'these will suck anyway' means that if you are given technical advice, you won't be in a position to make best use of it.

Equally, age is no excuse. I was using Powerpoint and even a little Flash when I was younger than eleven, and turned out some fairly complex (though I'll admit, badly drawn) animations.

If you think something you've done is awesome, and then someone turns around and tells you that it sucks, and why, you've go something to learn from. If you say something sucks and someone else turns around and says that it sucks too, you've simply got someone agreeing with you, and that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Damn it, Ktan beat me to it. I thought about this concept all day and that I was tired of people hiding behind a +12 age shield of shielding.

Back on topic though: This is why I rarely post in the CC forum. I'm not that creative, and even then, I don't finish a lot of hobbyist projects I start, so there's no point in submitting a half-finished project that heavy criticism is expected for.
Give us your absolute best. Only when you have something that you know is guaranteed to give your posting a "wow" (not a rep, a "wow"; reps are easier than "wow"'s), like something of such artistic quality and caliber nobody expected from you, ever, should you post it.
And then improve it.

Two cents, take it or leave it.

Oh... Just note that I don't like this harsh treatment... Why can't at least one warboardian think like this:
Oh, look. It's not too great. But hey. The guy is 11. Well, I bet no other kid at age 11 can do something at least 1/5 as good as this... Besides, this guy that everyone hates needs a small encouragement. Hey, it's not extremely bad either... It should be worth a 3/10 with a +2/10 encouragement...

Because we all have different opinions on this matter. We aren't being harsh. We are being realistic. You aren't being victimised, you aren't being harshly treated. I'd say this to anyone, age or experience none-withstanding. If people are being excessively harsh on someone, then maybe age is an issue. Excessively harsh is going 'OMFG, die plz' even if someone has made a concerted and full effort.

However, making no effort whatsoever, as you have alluded to yourself, simply makes you entirely vulnerable to criticism. Saying 'I did not try' is not a 'criticism shield'. Indeed, it is quite the opposite.

Here's the realistic version. :)

Oh, look. It's not too great. Hey, the guy is 11? Who cares, 11 year olds can do plenty; heck, when I was 11... But, everybody deserves constructive criticism. ... So you've submitted your work, people have given feedback, great! Will you keep at it? Maybe download a flash trial version and try out some more sophisticated stuff? We'd be happy to watch that too. Just don't give excuses for yourself, be proud of your work. GJ. :)

But not for the reason below, being a kid is not a reason for anything.

Hey, he's a kid, don't critisize him too much.
Yes, Age is no bar, but it difinitely puts some limits...

Give us the best. That's true.

My advice is to make transitions smoother, I know I did this sort of thing in the 8th grade. I had a simple scene and it took a little over 200 slides.
