Ok, so I'm on GMail (Google's Mail)... I like it because I can set it in any language... At first, until a few weeks ago, everything was perfect. But since a few weeks ago, I start recieving a few spam mails a day (also known as Bulk, for Yahoo!)... Okay, but it's already annoying... Besides, all of them ar about penis enlargement/blue pills.... I mean wtf?
Anyone has spam problems? Can I do something to stop this mass viagra-spam?

Welcome to the internet.

I'm VERY surpised you have spam on Gmail though, i have had Gmail for ages and still had no spam.

Maybe you posted your email adress somewhere.

Whatever you do, do not respond to the spam, it will only get worse. Just delete it.

That's what I do, Jello. ;) But spam keeps coming and coming and I'm tired of deletion :(

That's what I do, Jello.
Don't call me Jello, ever again.

Anyway, there is a button at the top of your inbox with 'Report Spam'. I'd take that if you report a mail as spam, you won't get mail from that person again.

Do you get any virsues from it? Because if not, I don't really see the big problem with ticking a few boxes and hitting delete.

That is only for Yahoo!
At GMail, the spam comes directly in the Spam Folder, but it only deletes itself in 30 days :( ... if I wanna kill it sooner, I have to tick boxes and click delete... But the biggest problem is that, sometimes, I mistake "Delete spam" with "This isn't spam, move to Inbox"

Well perhaps you should read the button then. And if you do move it, all you have to do is spend a another 10 seconds ticking some boxes and hitting delete. Or is that amazing feat of stamina and determination to difficult for you? Maybe you should stop after 10 ticks and make base camp.

I don't use Yahoo!

I use Gmail.

And besides, wtf. Why do you want to remove spam from the spam folder earlier? Why did you even bother to look in there if you know it's filled with only spam anyway.

Besides, you don't have to tick boxes, there is a nifty thingey there with 'Select all'.
Wow, look at that, in one click you just selected everything.

Yes, it seems plenty of people around the world seemed to care about the size of my penis a little more then I did. Chances are you gave out your email address somewhere.

See this button? It does wonders; use it! I never get spam anymore. :P

Are you worried about spam email IN the spam folder?

Why?

It's basically automatic, if you leave it alone.

I'm getting spam mail too actually. By Zellers and some other places.
Instead of deleting it, I report it.

Apart the already obvious and pointed out solution to report the spam, how about you set your account to only receive mails from your contacts list? For example, I did it to my Yahoo! accounts some time ago and it did wonders. ;)

Yeah, B., but I recieve a lot of IMPORTANT newsletters, account confirmations, and many more from many sites and forums... they aren't in my contact list, of course. :)

I agree, haha. I never manually delete spam. The 30 day thing is perfect.

What really gets me is I used to have about 2000 emails in there (that is, about 2000 spamails every 30 days) but it recently rocketed down to about 250. Not that I really give a shit anyway, since it is in the spam folder.
