How do you make rapid weapons? The Dawn of Starcraft marine lasers fires rapidly....

i think it changed the marines weapon to the battle cruiser or of the wraith. then the weapons cooldown to 1. use dat edit 1.5.

Im not sure what mod you are talking about, but I am pretty sure he just gave the marine burst lasers, and changed the cooldown to 1, or something low.

Although, if you want them to fire insanely and unreasonably fast, you can go into the unit's attack iscript and start spamming "attackwithweapon" and "wait 1 tick" opcodes. Then it'll be like he has a laser gatling-gun.

doing that would be multiple shots. giving low cooldown would be rapid shots. but in the game, they seem to look the same.

You can't tell the difference when you pair them both together and use breakable attack animations.

yes. how many times you spammed the attack and wait 1 in between the nobrkcodestart and nobrkcodeend would be how many times it will shoot. the cooldown would be fast it will redo that animation of doing the multiple shots.

So you guys are saying I need to use IceCC or Ice?
migidu
02-25-2008, 11:14 PM
depends on you. i know icecc but not ice. :p icecc allows you to give the unit the animation for multiple shots. dat edit alone will make the unit do rapid shots.

I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to scripting, but IMO if you want an easy program for just a quick thing like that, use the original Ice in conjunction with DatEdit.

Just for reference I'm quite sure a link can also be found at its 'home site'. Which is the same as SCMDraft 2 n' SCXE. ;)

What does that have to do with anything?
That trigger is also theoretical. It doesn't really work very well at all, is hugely inefficient, and relies on waiting for the tank's turret to turn before firing, screwing up the timing. What really happens is it just cycles through tanks over and over, none of them turning their turret fast enough to get off a shot.

Uhmm, Can you manually downgrade SC or do you really need the downgrader? If it can be downgraded manually, How do you do it?
P.S. I remember reading something in a thread about how to downgrade SC manually, I can't remember where it is now... :concern:

Yes, you can manually. What version do you want to downgrade to? Ill pack it up and upload it for you.

It's so much more painful and annoying to do it manually. What's the problem with just using the downgrader?

File size mainly, The downgrader I read was 300+ fuckin' mbs :concern:... That was where I thought "Ahehe, I think I'll do this manually instead..." We don't have internet at home so I Download stuff from Internet cafes ... If you know a downgrader with a maximum size of 20 mbs, please tell me where to download... Btw, thanx for answering my questions! :)

And that's assuming that you download every conceivable patch in bundle with it.

I never know that downloading something would be so difficult.

Oh, well, I thought you were talking about the far more annoying Reinstall-and-patch with an old patcher method, which I despise.
