Fable - The next big RPG hit?

This is the game that has me considering getting an X-box just to play it. And coming from me, that's pretty shocking (I'm a big Nintendo guy). This game looks simply amazing, go ahead take a look:

Finally an RPG where any decision you make affects how your character is, lives, and is looked at by all the NPCs. If you want to do things at night and sleep during the day? Your skin grows pale. Do the opposite? You get tan and wrinkly! Forget to eat? Ugg you might just catch that cold and die. Get biten by a certain wolf-creature? Just stay inside during a full moon. Refuse to help that old lady across the street? Don't expect any milk and cookies from her or her other old lady friends... Well almost, but you get the picture.

Lucky. I'll be getting my paycheck next week and it's already large enough to preoder and get the Xbox I mean I can not save up for college expences for a month! I think by the end of the month I'll "treat" myself to the system (and a few games of course) and finally get the game come September in fact I might preorder it myself. :)

Hmm... I might get. I have heard of it. But I am saving up for Halo 2. So I don't know. I might get it to use as a break from Halo 2. But that is a very low chance.

Hmm this is supposed to come out in September. So that'll give me about a month of game time before Halo 2 comes out.

Ahh, *drool*. This does look beautiful Machiavelli! Awesome find indeed :). I'll definitely force my friend to buy this and camp out at his house to play it.

However, as great as getting another system would be, I fear I'd only use X-Box just for this game. As well, considering PS3 is going to be announced at the next E3, I'd feel bad buying another console this late in the game.

Maybe they'll consider a release on the computer if it's successful on the X-Box ^_^.

Actually supposedly they will release this for the computer a few months after this games release, and looking at my saved money the new PS3 or the new Nintendo system are starting to look like a better investment (in other words I'm with you on this). :)

I got an X-Box in May and a new one will come out next year. Oh well. This game does looks sweet. I'm not a big RPG fan though (KOTOR kicked ass, however). I will get this whenever I can get a job (damn AMC call).

Fable looks awesome. I remember seeing this in Electronic Gaming Monthly, almost two years ago, when it was previewed, and I saw "wow!", because those were outstanding graphics then, and are still excellent now. The depth really hooked me, from having a "glow" when you were saintly to attracting flies when you were evil and dying.

I don't have an Xbox, I bought a PS2 for full price about 10 months or so after release, and then a few weeks ago I bought a Gamecube for like $40. I'm not going for Xbox this time around. I plan to wait a lot when the new row of systems come out, because I was fooled outright this time. Xbox looked awful at first, but it really improved. I'll let my friends make the foolish decisions and then I'll pick one. I thought I had done that this time around, but let it be known that a week after I bought a ps2 I played halo multiplayer for the first time...:rolleyes: Fable will have to be a PC game for me.

And someone mentioned it, Halo 2. That's the other temptation to buy an Xbox, but I must resist. I don't know how long I will have to wait for a PC release, but that is what I will be forced to do. I almost find it odd that they're going to be releasing Halo 2 relatively soon to a new console, because its like they're still going to be selling Xboxes just for that game after Xbox2. Hopefully it will be compatible, since I have a feeling that there will be a significant wait between Halo 2, which has always been promised for Xbox "One", and Halo 3, which will most certainly be on the next platform.
