Hi there people, I require help on alliances in order to fix a no-player slot error problem in my map, "Commando Operations I v1.0"
http://www.starcraft.org/maps/scums/multiplayerums/commando+operations+i+v1.0
The problem is this map requires all 3 players to play or the map glitches. When there are players missing, then neutral units that is suppose to be given to that player are given to a random hostile faction (due to the give units trigger) which attacks the player.
I'm not sure which faction gets the units, (maybe player 12 - the minerals faction, but they're suppose to be default neutral?)
So I'm not even sure how to correct it myself...

The players are still getting the units, but since their not there the units are hostile.

well, I have the players that receive the units (human players) #1-3 on set to allied victory, set to ally, with preserve trigger. So shouldn't the leaderless units be allies? Whereas if there are players there but they leave, the player's units and the units that will be given to that player remain allies of the people who are still playing.
Maybe they're like the Zerg broods without a cerebrate & overlords - going crazy in a bloody rampage? O_o

Actually I believe player 9 gets them, but you can't really work with player 9 well. I suggest making a force only trigger than creates a unit for each player, if they don't have that unit than don't create units for that player.

Well, the units are already created and in the map. (Given to neutral players #5-8). When the players activate a trigger, each human player #1-3 gets the formerly neutral units. Also, the units are positioned in certain ways, which would make triggers that create units extremely tedious (hundreds of triggers) and would confuse the player since they wouldn't know where to go to "rescue" the neutral units.

If its supposed to be fore human players, they will always be hostile. You would have to make them computer players.
