:oI enter the monthly mapping contests, yes, they're melee. I was wondering, would it be cool if i (or someone) started a monthly UMS map contest? I mean, i know that maps sometimes take years or many months to make, but would this be something that people would be interested in? If it is i guess i could start one for march. We could even have specific genres, like masses/Defences, but not likely. =D

Sounds cool to me, I never have the drive to finish any UMS maps I start; this would be a nice incentive :) . I have a ton of projects laying around that would take a fairly short time to create. After all, this doesn't have to be any Atrogears or anything.

Sweet. This will probably work just like the melee mappings. Of course, no map is required to have over 1000 triggers.

Well, given the kind of mapping it is, each month there can be a different set of requirements.

I've thought about setting one up. Maybe I'll try it here soon, I've really been waiting to get more UMS mappers before I fire it up though. And maybe, just maybe it might work.. Oh and the contest I would make would deal with templates, so it already has a basic setup laid out. All you have to is connect the dots - Except you get better points for doing it creatively or adding more.

Anyways I like the idea of a UMs contest they worked out alot at the old SEN and we had one at maplantis.
I wouldn't mind being a judge.Or even setting up some basic rules and such.

There'd need to be a contest in place, first. Well twitch, if you plan to be a judge, you're probably not gonna be joining us in mapping. You guys would have to decide on something amongst yourselves to start us off, I'll be waiting 'till then.
