So you may have heard of the blu_ray (http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=887) line of cinematic makeup, or the January announcement that Warner Bros. (http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/01/04/warner-goes-blu-ray-exclusive/) has gone Blu-ray exclusive, but today marks the official victory of Blu-ray over HD-DVD (http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9874199-1.html).

That's right everyone; Toshiba, the one and only manufacturer of stand-alone HD-DVD players, has announced it will discontinue their current line of HD-DVD players and optical drives. And if that weren't the final nail in the coffin, Universal Studios finally bailed on HD-DVD (http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9874320-7.html?part=rss&subj=news&tag=2547-1_3-0-5), too.

Sony & Blu-ray group: 1
Toshiba, MS & HD-DVD: 0

Still won't buy it until I get an HDTV. :) (and new releases aren't $25)

Arrrg what happened to the whole issue with porn only going to HD-DVD?

Some banwagons are unbeatable I guess.

And porn will be restricted entirely to the internet, as blu-ray has imposed a ban on it last I heard.

Of course, all ppl will need is hi-def monitors. :P
