I'm having a bit of trouble the the map I'm working on.
Presently using X-tra editor special.

my problem is, I need to know a trigger or set of triggers I can use to alter the forces towards a player. One to make a color hostile towards you and another to make it rescuable towards you and only you...

Well first off, I don't believe it's possible to "Make units rescuable towards you and only you" directly. What you could just do is to place units for a certain player, like the color that you want, and then to quickly give their control to Neutral players. They should retain their player color, and then you wrap a location around them, and have it so that when the player brings men there, it gives control of the neutral units to him.

It also works to just make another computer player that's rescuable, and set him to the same color.

you could use the "set alliance" action - set player 1 (you) to enemy., make it hostile on you. and the "give units to player at location" action - give all units owned by player X at location X to player 1 (you). :)

I'm pretty sure she comprehends the set alliance action, and I already answered the other part

I'm having a few doubts discerning what your real aim is here. Do you intend to solely have a player colour hostile to you and other for the rescueable one? Imho, that is easily solvable with the give units to player command allied with some smart location placement. If it's something else I honestly didn't figured it out. (Perhaps explaining the situation(s) where it's used might help me/us figuring it out a tad better. ;))

Although if you're intending to use the players colouring just to make it easily distinguishable between foes, allies and neutrals, I'd probably use the bluer (cold) tones to one team and the more reddish (fiery) ones to another. And for neutral maybe the P4, purple, will do. :)
