I was a smart guy and accidently locked my touch pad. To lock it i had to move my mouse up to open a menu to lock/unlock it, but now i cant move my mouse! Help. I dont have a USB mouse, either. F9 has the mousepad symbol, but when i press/held the F9 nothing happened. Help!:(

Use the keyboard to get to Windows Explorer, get to the control panel, and then get into and figure out the mouse settings.

That, or try Alt-F9, Shift-F9, Ctrl-F9, or Alt-F4 to fix it. Save everything when using Alt-F4 though.
I am not responsible for any damage to your computers or otherwise. Alt-F4 is a joke. If you didn't know that already, it closes whatever program you have currently selected.

On other Windows OS's (previous to Vista) shifting to the text menu through the keyboard involved pressing F10 and then using the cursor keys to navigate. And to swap between the different parts of the Windows programs just use the "tab" key. Try using the navigational keys after pressing the Windows key to open its start menu. Head into "programs" and then into its "accessories" subfolder. The "windows explorer" shortcut is there.

Just typed up a big post, but figured it out, I hope.

Press the Fn + F9 keys. See if that unlocks your touchpad.

If it doesn't, please let me know what model your notebook is.
