Forge Contest Rules and Regulations
Ok, first off sorry about the wait. I need to catch up on some school work/sleep time.
Second, this thread is for those iterested to judge the forge maps that will be created as well as the rules for competing.
There are some limitations of corse for the judges.
1.) You must be able to download the maps, but not nesecarily play them online. Howeve people who can be play on live/have acsess to live will come first in the choosing. If you don't have live you will be able to judge art type maps or other stuff along that line.
2.) You will not be able to enter maps of your own. You are at anytime able to drop out of judging to make a map for the contest.
3.) No bull crap. Don't give the map a bad score just because of who made it. When you score a map you MUST give me description that is reasonable for the score.
4.) You may NOT under any reason change OR modify a map that you are judging. This includes descriptions, weapon placement, anything. This is to keep people from stealing the contestants work and using it as their own. If i find that you have posted someones work form one of the contests as your own(even on bungi.net) you will be banned form judging and joining future contest.
Ok now that the limits are out of the way i'm going to tell you people how this is going to work.
Everyone who wants to be a judge will, however they won't be right of the bat. 3 judges will be working at a time. I will make a list of names of the people who want to be the judges. I will then make it so that those people are switched every contest.
This mean that i there are six judges(1,2,3,4,5,6) the list will go somthing like this.
contest 1 judges 1,2,3
contest 2 judges 4,5,6
contest 3 judges 2,3,6
contest 4 judges 1,4,5
and so on.
If a judges doesn't want to be used twice in a row, they can simply PM me and i will make the switch.
The scoring will be for a range of 1-10. 1 being the worst 10 being the best.
After judging the maps PM the score map name creators name and a description why you gave the map that score. If people want to know why they failed at winning the contest I will PM them some of the comments on their map so they will better understand why they lost, and be able to improve. This is to keep the threads from turning ugly and becoming a flame fest.
The scores will be averaged together to make it fair. And by PM the scores to me none of the judges will be singles out and flamed for giving a high or low score. It's for your protection.
Now on to the forgers.
When a contest is started you will have 2 weeks. The first week is to join up by simply posting within the contest thread stating that you want to preticipate. After you post you can start forging right away. The second will be the crunch time, where you will build the maps and upload them to fileshare.
At the end of the time limit post a link to the file share so the judges will be able to download the maps and play them, expore them, and whatever else there is to do. This will take about a week or so. Finally the vedicts will be placed and the winner will be found.
There will be a first, second and third for the top three maps. The others will be honorably mentioned as well.
The time limits can and most likly will be changed for some of the map challenges. There will be no tolerance for late submissions. If you can not make the dead line PM me and i will see what i can do.
Well there you have it, any questions can be asked here, and i'll try to best explain the problems.
Sorry for any and all spelling and grammer errors.
