If runescape had better graphics than wow and the gameplay is a lot better. Would you still play WoW? Or Would you play runescape?

I'd play runescape, because there are a lot more things that there would be to do, and I would be a merchant/miner and making money out of making weapons. What would you do?

MMO's are terrible no matter how you look at it so who cares both have you spend hours upon hours killing thousands of the same creature in the same place.... boring I'd rather be in a 2 hour economics lecture.

In theory, you speak truth. In practice, isn't that what ALL games are? You fight the same things all the time, with bosses thrown in to break the monotony.

But, if in your logic, MMO and game is separate, please distinguish it for me as I am obviously blinded by the MMO beast.

Most games are fun via level progression or the challenge of other people. In MMO's though (and most other RPG's) level pregression mainly comes from being in the same place for an extended period of time which is pretty much the same as having to write line after line of the same sentence like I had to do a few times in elementary school and I didn't see the fun in it then and I still don't.

As for the playing other people part that only can come after the writing the sentence a few thousand times. But in FPS's and RTS's level progression, story progression, and owning online are at all times theres no kill 1000 zlots so you can tech to dark templar in the next game you play instead its just all presented and go at it and have fun.

I guess their are people who find it fun and game companies are smart to realize it but I tend to play games like Gears of War and Super Mario Galaxy instead of playing a game the equivalent of beating the same dog over and over again which much like drinking I only enjoy in real life.

Runescape could never be as good as WoW because it's cheaply designed, unless since the last time I saw it they've made some visual changes that aren't so eye-soring.
