Triple SLI with three of Nvidia's 8800 Ultras
Alright first of all, my question is, is it possible to triple SLI with an over-the-counter water cooling system? And would a water block even fit on three of the 8800 Ultras? And secondly, is it worth it? I mean, most games.... even Crysis will run fantaboulioulsly (just made up that word :P) on two! But with three..... the cost.... the heat... Would it really be worth it?
Actually with DX10 and all the settings jacked up I think there is still visual Artifacts and frame stutter on Crysis with dual SLI. As for the triple SLI space in your machine for it and the cooling would be at a premium but if you really hard core then you'd find a way.

I haven't actually played Crysis (Haven't bought it yet.) on DX10, but the reviews I've read for it on DX10 say nothing of this.... wheres your source.... or are you your own source? :P

You planning on running 5 billion next gen games at once or something?
I'm sorry, but SLI itself is almost pointless enough as it is, but triple?
Why?

Quick question. Should you invest in a motherboard with SLI capabilities? Will one PCI x16 slot be enough for future gaming?
From everything I've seen, it's still a better investment to put all your money towards one good card rather than splitting it and getting two mediocre cards. The PCI Express 2.0 x16 lane has plenty of bandwidth (8 GBps) for future video cards, so the bottleneck isn't in the PCI Express lane, but the video card.

which is why triple SLI is only compatible with 8800 GT / GTX | Ultra

Yay for wasting $2,160 USD on three 8800 Ultras in the first place!
On the few motherboards that can tri-sli in the first place the two PCI slots are imbetween the vid cards and the 8800 Ultras block them from use. You could have a good physics card and a kick ass sound card or 3 8800 Ultras.
Actually.... you can use one of the PCI slots when its tri-sli but still, if its only dual sli then you can use two.... so. I know what one im picking.
Isn't Nvidias new card coming out soon?

Unfortunately I've never seen performance numbers on any SLI setup that justify the price.

It might be feasible for a corporate budget.
