ok let me set one thing straight first
iam a huge movie buff, which means i try and watch all types of movies wether they be chick flicks or action flicks. So...ya...iam not g@y lol...i know i have to include this cause sadly some of our members think that certain movies arnt for guys and certain movies arnt for girls.

Atonement
The movie is basically about a little girl who has seen things she cant understand. So her mind starts wandering and she creates a lie which snowballs to a catastrophe for a couple (her sister Cecillia Tallis played by Kiera and the gardener Robbie Turner played by James McAvoy which works in her house.) As she grows up she begins to understand the huge wrong that
she has committed and tries to find some way to atone for her sin (hence the movie, Atonement).

Thoughts
The movie was very well composed and I loved Joe Wright's approach to this romance. At first, the only reason i wanted to see this movie was because of Keira Knightley. Not only is she a wonderful actor but she is also very attractive ;).
Anyways, The movie is very nonlinear. Actions sometimes have flashbacks that are usually triggered by some sort of noise. This was absolutely astounding. The sounds and the visuals totally set this movie apart from any other romance I 've ever seen. Although sometimes the flashbacks can be confusing, I just thought they added to the overall depth of the movie.
This movie is definitely worth checking out. If you feel that you cant watch it alone, bring a girlfriend and iam sure both of you will love it.

Rating
8/10

The movie has a totally sad ending so if your not into that sort of stuff i wouldnt recommend it to you.

Ive decided to make many more movie critiques so if you guys enjoyed this tell me. If not tell me what i could do differently. Thx for reading. :)

Obviously, you have to like romantic stories a little bit to be properly entertained by it, but the movie was incredibly well done from start to finish. The evacuation of Dunkirk must have been a bitch to film. So cool...

I've only ever gotten sad watching a movie (the only chick flick i've ever really seen), but that was a long time ago. I'm not into chick flicks, but one thing I can say now is that Keira is hot.

I really want to see this movie. I wouldn't necessarily consider myself a movie buff (because I don't watch a lot of movies, and I HATE kids movies), but I'm willing to watch any chick flick or chick show.

Hell, I'll gladly admit that I like watching chick flicks and shows. Take my love for Grey's Anatomy as an example.

Anyways, the trailers for this movie caught my eye. Not like that matters anyways, Kiera Knightlys in it so I'll watch it none the less.
