I have a YP-P2JAB Samsung device thing (plays music, videos, pictures, ect...), and I want a video on it. It only plays .svi video files (owned by Samsung), but thats no problem because included software (Samsung Media Studio), which converts any video file to a .svi so i can put it on my portable device. Or so it claims. When I go to convert ANY filetype other than .wmv, the converter stays at 0%, and some random program stops working (I think it's part of the converter). And when I go to convert .wmv files, the files, when played, are very lag-ish, the frames skip. But recently, I can't even convert .wmv files anymore. I tried converting a episode of GaoGaiGar on Samsung Media Studio, which is a 200 mb file (about), and it goes from 0% to 100% in half a second, and then the file doesn't play on the device. So here are the main problems:

-My files aren't being converted
-My files that are converted are laggy
-I can no longer convert the only file that was convertable
-This isn't a trait found common on other users of his product

So why won't it work?

You should probably install a codec pack.

transcoding can be difficult. You could try VLC, it can transcode stuff. Pick a file, run the wizard, transcode it to something like an mpg or something basic. Then see if your studio thingy can convert that.
