I'm going to exercise more. Losing a few pounds isn't much of a goal, though, since I'm not fat enough to both gain muscle and lose weight at the same time. Like most of you lardfaces... >>
I'm also going to try to go to work more often(since it's currently on an "if you feel like showing up you get paid" basis), which will definitely help with the first goal, as it is in construction. Plus the extra money can't hurt. :)

I shall treat my class at school with the respect they truly deserve.

My new years resolution is actually to gain some weight.
I have a tendency to be pretty skinny if I don't work at it and I have been slack of recent months, plus being back in front of a furnace has made the weight fall off like nothing.
So back to the gym this year I think.

iam gonna add that to my new years resolution
1. Read a book per month.
2. Beat a video game per 2 months.
3. Floss weekly. (I actually bought those disposable floss things - I currently don't floss.)
4. Lose 10 pounds before I start interviewing for jobs; Lose 25 pounds by the end of the year.
5. Graduate from college with 2.75 GPA (currently at 2.69.. not sure if I can do it).
6. Get a job.
7. Buy a house, townhome, or condo.
8. Start saving money.
9. Make some good headway on loans/credit.
10. Relax.

With a list like that, you should definitely bump "relax" up to the top. You'll only get overwhelmed with all that, and why bother? Just chill and enjoy being young (and when you get old you can enjoy being old).

some of those sound opposed to one another. Saving money and buying a townhome are very different.
And as mentioned, relaxing seems quite different from getting grades up, working, and buying a home.

To succeed more in social life than last year.
To somehow manage to get on my new school.
To get UT3 and STALKER and all the other games I want.
I'm not going to buy the house or townhome outright, I'll put it on a loan and get a mortgage. Buying a house or property is actually saving some money as opposed to renting due to building some equity, Protogod. But yes, I still do intend to start some saving accounts or CD's or something, and no it's not going against the other resolution of buying things.
Anyways, most of the tough stuff is the first half of the year - graduating, job, etc. Once summer is over I should be out of the rough part and be able to start the good parts - the relaxing, more reading, etc.
Don't worry though, I'm pretty good at managing my time. I'll figure it out.

I always found the concept of a new years resolution to be kind of weird... I never use them, but I always have a set of goals that I'm doing. So this really isn't a new years resolution but a list of goals that I've been working on, and will be working on for a while.
1. Gain weight - exercise like mad.
2. Learn Urdu better. Learn how to read and write it.
3. Read mroe. Write a lot more.
4. Get my act together and start being serious in college. I've been a slacker.
Those are pretty much my short-long-term goals if that makes any sense. I have a bunch of long term stuff that I'm working on well, but hey, they'll take a lot more than a year to finish so why list em.

DUde, I got my act together at it feels so good. I'm going to a top-tier school here in the US, but honestly this particular one was my safety school. I thought I could cruise, but no I was pulling a 3.1 GPA, having a great time and building a powerful network but still i was losing interviews because of my gpa. anyway i made a goal of getting a 4.0 this semester, if for no other reason than to prove it to myself that I had it in me all along. and I got a 3.74, all A's but one B in a class that I never went to lecture but four times (dumb idea, considering my goal). Anyway i pulled my overall gpa up a whole tenth of a point, even though it was my next to last semester!, and I'm going to do the same thing next semester.
it's never too late and it feels really good!

To get a passing grade in physics(I currently have 4.56 which is approximated to 5 so it's ok...for now), and all classes.
To get better at parkour.
To lose some weight.
To remain active on Warboards no matter what happens. :)

Lose weight
Become more social
Get better grades
Not so many fancy goals, anyway. And I think it is possible. In fact, it is possible. I saw a video on youtube about a guy who talked about 'can' and 'can't do'. When you say can't do, you mean I choose not to do it. A good message to the world, actually.

I don't make New Years resolutions either, but I do have some goals I've been working towards.
1. Get better grades and get my GPA as close as I can to 4.0 (it's about 3.6 now)
2. Practice for All-State Band auditions in 3 weeks (eek...)
3. Work on getting scholarships
4. Send out college applications as soon as possible
5. Do more volunteer work
6. Start working out again
7. Learn to play more songs on my guitar (currently know 2 songs!)
