Okay, as of January 1st I will try the WoW 10-day free trial. Here's the thing. I have absolutely no knowledge of the WarCraft universe other than that there are 2 factions, the Horde and the Alliance, and that it's an MMORPG from blizzard. I intend to make the most out of my ten days so I would like some tips before I start. Thank you for your help. Have a nice day. May God bless you all.

Don't get too many enemies attacking you at once. If 3 or more enemies attack you and you don't have full health RUN FOR IT. If 2 enemies are at you and you have half or less health RUN FOR IT. Dying in the beginning is not fun.

I see. Anything really important I should know about the plot? Btw is it easy to train without anyone else stealing your kills or anything?

Problem. Can't seem to install. I have the launcher but it says not enough room on my disk drive whenever I try to select the location it will go to.

If you see a guy from the opposing faction with a skull where the level should be, run like hell and hope hes not a asshole.

Ahahahah, the ol' Level 20 vs. Level Fuck. But honestly if you're only playing for 10 days, you probably won't leave your starting area. Otherwise get a leveling guide and have fun.

Yea, nothing helps a lowbie enjoy his gaming experience like getting killed by another player that one shots you then runs away from guards. Then rinses and repeats.

But yea GA is pretty much right, 10 days you shouldnt really encounter that unless you level like hell. Itll probally be confusing if your new to MMORPGs, so just learn the game, do some quests, etc.

What won me over was the concepts of PVP. It felt like a job leveling sometimes, but i just like killing people. its like drugs, do it once and you have to do it twenty more times.

I bring that 70 druid over to the place that the guy is doing that, and kill him in the city. Then the guards kill him pretty quickly 2-3 times, and he might as well have spirit revived for as much damage as his eq takes and the amount of time it took him to recover his corpse. Unless OFC it's a Rogue, in which case he pretty much does whatever the hell he wants anyway. I hate improved stealth. Jesus, the guards can't put up some kind of permanent hunter flare in the entrance of the city? Isn't this supposed to be magical land? Why is everybody morons?

or a frost mage. Who can run around the edges of cities, crit frostbolts and when guards chase he can just nova and run. rinse and repeat.

If you play non-stop and no what your doing, you will see a fair bit of the game.

Just follow the quests etc, pick what ever character looks the coolest in your opinion or if you want to roleplay do that

It only takes like 13 days to hit 70, in 10 u should hit like 60 :)

Sorry but thats bullshit. Thats only if you play for SEVERAL hours a day and pretty much throw away your life. Even then 70 in 13 days does seem kind of hard.

Meh. I'm on vacation right now so I have time to spare. Any good leveling guides? (so far I'm a level 9 paladin. Not progressing that quickly am I :P Don't plan on playing too much though)

1st: Wow, did you do that? That's an unhealthy lifestyle, to say the least.

2nd: You can only reach lvl 20 on those freebie accounts.

13 days to hit 70?

Do you mean 13 days playing 8 hours a day or do you mean 13 days PLAYED?

Anyway, I don't really see a lot of hunters, I just see Mages, Warlocks, Warriors, and Rogues. Mages and Rogues are abusive, and Warlocks and Warriors are cheesy. But they're all fairly good at PvP.

Do you mean 13 days playing 8 hours a day or do you mean 13 days PLAYED?It took me 4 days played to hit 58 after the recent nerf to levelling (I'm making a new mage, I got bored in the off-raid days) and I'm at 7 days played for lvl 63. It's generally accepted that it takes anywhere from 10-30 days played to hit 70, depending on how much you dawdle, how efficient you are, and if you spend time on your professions before or after you level.

edit: I know this is completely unrelated but I REALLY need to change my sig. Since that picture I've probably changed 3/4 of that gear. *sigh*

Holy fucking shit, dude, you might want to try Pong.

Maybe you could try downloading Tetris, but you might want to overclock your CPU so you can handle those mad polygons. Get some extra RAM and you might be able to run a Rocket Ranger 5.25 floppy game.

Im talking 13 days played, It took between 13-15 hours for me and my mates to hit our 70's. It is easily achievable just quest like crazy only do instances when your rested. Oh and 13 days is hardly throwing your life away as ill explain soon we basicly gamed for 13 days striaght and yes i have a job but i was on holidays :P

I think blizzard buffed the xp rates between 20-60 so it should be even easier.

1st: Wow, did you do that? That's an unhealthy lifestyle, to say the least.

lol, well we would game for like 10~ hours a day, all of us on vent so it was time worth spent

2nd: You can only reach lvl 20 on those freebie accounts.

I have never used a "freebie" account, i know there are limits to it, im just not sure what they are :P

10 hours a day is a bit ridiculous.

and yea the installer takes around 10-15 hours for me too(For the patches..). but to install the game itself it took less than 30 mins. And i did everything blizz said to fix the problem and they were right it reduced the time it took to install. By 15 minutes...yay. Now i just wait like 13 hours and 45 minutes instead of 14 hours. huge difference

First, I just want to say it took my friend 4 days to install WoW, not including patches, that took about 3 more days.

Second, Is your trial still going? If so, I think ive found some alliance leveling guides...

Pass them on quickly please. I thank you very much.
Level 12 (human) Paladin looking for good quests in particular that I haven't finished that are suited for my level.
P.S. Took me like 10 minutes to download the trial
P.P.S I ****ing wish that you wouldn't have to pay monthly fees for WoW. If it didn't have any, I might even choose it over StarCraft (30 percent chance)
