I'm not. Halo 3 doesn't deserve to be the game of the year for 2007. Bungie made some mistakes that really hurt the game. A lot of my friends have turned to other games now, such as COD 4.

But I did vote for it because, sadly, that's the only game that I own that's on that list.

I have Cod4 and Crysis. And crysis has nothing on Call of Duty 4. It's one of the most dramatic fps shooters around. Aside from the cliche storyline, CoD4 was everything an FPS should be. Add on the Online gaming mode and you've got a winner. Of course I would've loved to see Orange be at least second...but bleh.

And how did God of War II get on that list? Actually, I haven't played it before but the first one seemed mediocre to me. Bioshock is okay, but not well-enough publicized.

in my opinion super Mario galaxy is the best. It uses the wii features amazingly, its graphics are much better then most wii games and most important of them ALL

Its fun to play, it entices hardcore gamers as well as your every day casual gamer. Plus its Mario

to you, yes to the rest of the gaming community not so much, god of war 2 much like 1 was epic Plus its Greek mythology well slightly altered Greek mythology, but still on the large scale Greek mythology is usually win

Anyways, I think we can all safely say that the majority of the people pick CoD4 as Game of the Year. Hell, it's even beating Halo 3 in the 360 section. I was mildly surprised.

Why is Orange Box the best? It's the best because the complete Half-Life 2 series is the best. Everything about Half-Life is the best. :)

Compared to Cortana, every level is easy.

Cortana was hellishly hard if you do it yourself on heroic/legendary and have no idea where you're supposed to go.

It was the first time I had to use a guide to get through a level on Halo. I didn't know you were supposed to climb the walls like spiderman to get to the next part.

I think I can say with a lot of certainty that I was so close to throwing my controller at my TV no less than three times.

Why the Orange Box?

1. Portal is awesome. Excellent humor, very fun to play, awesome mechanic, interesting puzzles with multiple ways to finish them. (don't think so? Do the challenge rooms)

2. TF2 is fun. The cartoonish looks really help it stand out, and aid in identifying each enemy's capabilities, and the spirit and humor in it make it a much more engaging FPS than any I have played. Also, the roles of each class are very different, making each game as a different class unique.

3. Half:Life's story is meh. It's entertaining, not so interested by this. The first two points are enough (hell, just portal's enough, TF2 is candy) to make me vote for it.

Also, look up Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw's review on it.

Bioshock was also very good, but had no replayability or online component.

Of the games not on the list, I would say Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. It's like an entirely different game than the first in terms of multiplayer strategy, and a completely unique-feeling RTS. The singleplayer missions also become very challenging (infuriatingly so, in some cases) as they've implemented AI which replicates what some of the best players have been doing. (like using engineers to rush your base and take control of resource buildings)

Also, it just looks awesome, though even with a high-end card it doesn't run well on highest settings. Yet. (toned it down to medium and it works fine)

What the hell are you talking about? The game goes on for a good bit afterwards. Chernobyl was half way through.
