I purchased and installed Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. When I try to run the game I get a fatal error message

"Failed to setup initial search path.
Program : C:\Program Files\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe
Cmd line arguments :
Callstack:
Unknown symbol (address 0x008ce850)

stack traceback:

...e Commander - Forged Alliance\bin\SupComDataPath.lua(20): in main chunk"

Does anyone know what this might mean and how I could fix it?
~thanks

EDIT
oh my what was I thinking posting this in network suport.. Shows you how out of it I am.

First off, what Operating System are you on now? If its Vista, then meh. Can't help you. If its Windows XP or lower, I'd gladly help. Next, is this a legit software package or not? Some pirated CD's are mostly unreliable when it comes to disc quality, so maybe this is a case of data corruption or bad burn. Next, the API command SHGetFolderPath is where the problem lies, so maybe something's messed up in your Windows system directory. Finally, drive access. Maybe you have insufficient disk space or access denial to the target drive (though less likely.).

Find the file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Logitech\LVMVFM\LVPrcInj.dll
rename it to LVPrcInj.old or something like that, and see if the game launches ok.

if you run a logitech camera.

Read that ENTIRE THREAD. Page 3 is pretty interesting. You might start on page 4 and go backwards though. From what I gather this is either a problem with logitech's cam, or you've renamed your My Doc's folder to somethign strange.

I'm really tired though, so i'll try to check back later and see how else I can help.
