I'm staying in my Uncles house for a while for Christmas. He asked me if I could fix his e-mail trouble. He is using a Comcast account under Windows Vista Home Premium. He cannot send mail but only recieve it. He wrote something down in a notepad on here, I don't quite understand, it says:
Server Response_"550 5.1.0 Authentication Required"
Port: 587, Server(SSL; No,
Server Error: 550, ERROR
Number: 0x800CCC78
---
error 815
Remote Server Is Not Responding
Obviously, this might be the error messages he keeps getting. So, if anyone can figure this out before I do is appreciated. Other then that, I'm going to start experimenting around. Now I have to find out if he left his mail account information for me somwhere around here...
Other then that, he also mentioned one other problem. When the computer is off for a while, the monitor doesn't turn back on unless you unplug and replug it. He is using a Dell tower with a ViewSonice monitor.
Anyone know how to fix these? It might be server trouble or he did something under options in his account or something. This should mostly be asked in a Comcast forum, but no harm posting it first here huh? I'll start messing around until something gets fixed. xS
