I've been having a few problems with laptop crashes as of late - basically, my laptop just dies without warning and won't start up again for two to three minutes.
At first I thought it was a simple case of overheating, as the thing was going for three to four hours at a time and was burning holes in my table, (not really, but it was boiling when it died,) but after switching off the heating in my room, opening the door and moving the laptop away from the wall it had been pressed up against, it still happened.
There's no freeze up, no warning and I've run a McAfee virus scan to no effect, it just instantly switches off. Any help as to how to prevent this from happening would be fantastic. I'm not fantastic with computers so I don't know whether a DxDiag would be useful, but I've attached one anyway.
