Well... I dunno what to say, the guy has no respect for context, and not only that grammar as well. Suffice it to say that the writer uses equivocation more times than I can count. Although some would say that anything taking away from Christs birth is evil, it should be known that Christ was not born on Christmas day. However it is mostly known if the writer had done any research that Christs birth would have been most likely in the spring or summer. This writer in my opinion is crazy and I plead with you to not take this man seriously. Granted the damage has been done, but its not too late for someone to try and repair it.

He was only right on one thing though, Christ did come for you so that you might live.
You see God sent His Son in human flesh, A sacrifice both holy and pure to die for our sins that we have committed. Truth is we dont know when Christ was born, we only have Christmas to celebrate it, don't let this Christmas go by without accepting Christs atonement. God has given you the gift now I urge you to... no I plead with you please take it. None of us our guaranteed tomorrow, the little girl who was killed by the other kids imitating mortal combat moves sure wasn't, the eighth grader that was just recently posted about wasn't. For all you know this could be my last post here, and what then would it be? Make this season worth remembering, a life anew, eternal everlasting life. All you have to do is this.

* Belief in Jesus: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

* God's love: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) "God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved)." (Ephesians 2:4-5) "When the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared ..." (Titus 3:4)

* Sin separates mankind from God. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:23) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." (Romans 5:12)

* God gives eternal life because Jesus Christ atoned for our sin: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

* Saved (from sin) by asking Him for forgiveness just as we forgive others: "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15)

* Confession and believing: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." — "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

* Saved by baptism (you must also believe to be saved): "He that *believeth* and is baptized shall be saved..." (Mark 16:16). "Which sometime were disobedient, when once the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 3:20-21; "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:" (Romans 6:3-5)

* Must be born again: "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." and " Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (John 3:3-5)

* What must we do?: On the day of Pentecost, Peter stood up in front of the crowd of 3000 and preached about the death and resurrection of Jesus (Acts 2). When the crowd was convicted and asked Peter what they needed to do he replied, "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)

* Saved by God's grace: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9). The word grace is further clarified and defined in (Titus 3:5-7) : " 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

That is all I have to say, protogod and anyothers, I beg you to let this stay.

Thumpity thump thump, thumpity thump thump, look at gunmonk go. Thumpity thump thump, thumpity thump thump, over the hills of snow.

This kind of paranoid self-delusion is all too common. There's always gonna be some holiday crackpot claiming that santa is a nazi (his name is fucking "claus") to the easter bunny being a man-eater. It's best to either ignore them, or remove them from the gene pool completely.

Persoanlly I think the dude that wrote the article:

Dr. Terry Watkins. Th.D.

Spends way too much time indoors and has way too much time on his hands. He needs to get out some. Enjoy the sunshine, play golf or just spend an hour or so down at the bar shooting a game of pool and having a beer occasionally.

If he spends a major amount of time thinking that Santa is the devil, he is seriously in need of rest.
