I would have to say, my father the man is compleatly old school, he fell off our 20 foot roof last week (putting up Christmas lights) and he refused an ambulance he walked to my stepmum's vehicle and she drove him to the hospital, he also kept me right in line while growing up thus him being my favoret parent.

shes always tried her best to give me whatever i wanted but didnt spoil me in any way

you wanna buy something? i want payments back over a 4 month period lol

shes always been very supportive of me
and most of my personality comes from her
shes kept me on the right path grade,friend, and lifestyle wise
and not only does she take care of me but also my 2 sisters :) i couldnt ask for a better mom

My mom has the heart, where as my dad has got the logic. Both of them complement each other and they were more than I could ask for and are a central part of my life. To say I favor one over the other would be a cruel and unjust disservice to the other.

I'm not sure who I like the most. Their all awesome, my dad plays the guitar and my mom plays piano. They own at games and so do I. my mom and her side of the family is hyper, and most of my cousins are girls. My dad's side of the family is very religious and is mostly boy cousins

My mom. She's really nice, I can joke around with her a lot, we have actual [intellectual] conversations (sometimes, heh), and she actually tries to help me out.

My dad yells waaaay too much (I think he does it to be obnoxious -- "Now that you told me not to do it, I'm going to do it endlessly"). He makes dumb and very rude jokes, and he's too stubborn to admit he could be wrong about something/doesn't know everything about a particular subject. Regardless, he still tries to prepare me for the future and help me out, albeit in a tough-love sort of way.

I get in fights with my mom all the time. Sometimes she's fine, but other times she makes me feel like crap. :( She also does things like, "You did badly on a math test? Now over break you will do every single problem in your math textbook to study for finals." That's what I'll be doing over my holiday break. :(

And I have a feeling this thread is a lurking train wreck waiting to happen. People shouldn't have a "favorite" parent either way. Same as parents shouldn't have a "favorite" child. One parent may be a little nicer than the other but that does not give you an excuse to favor them over the other.

meh. my dad's a jerk even though he loves me. i mean, wtf he waited until my brother graduated then left?? and during the summer he told my mom that if she didn't go to hawaii for the whole summer he would divorce her because she is around him too much!
wtf kind of bs is that??? they're married:mad:??? and then my mom comes back to Texas because i had to go the the police station (long story) and angers my dad so on the first month of school he mails my mom a divorce paper and makes it feel like it's my fault he divorced her, and like 2 weeks before school he bought me a new computer so i wouldn't be mad at him. she screwed my mom over, which she didn't do anything to make him mad (and she made her spend half the summer in Hawaii), he messed up my life, and the only reason my brother still talks to my dad and acts like he still likes him is because he is paying for his college. well, with that my life is pretty much f****ed up and made me miserable :cry:, seems like a good reason for me to choose mom over dad.

even though the woman did carry you in her stomach for 9 months and then had to squeeze you out of her vajayjay or cut you out or w/e lol
but we dont really think about that when we consider who our favorite parent is
we often consider:
whos nicer
who gives me money for partying
who lets me do w/e i want
who yells at me less
like it said this is what we often think about, but of course i cant speak for everyone
