Well folk, there (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=32241) ya have it. For the upcoming melee map making contest in Jan' at the WC Townhall we'd like to have a tasteful avatar and signature set. Since my artistic drawing skills pretty much stayed in the Stone Age, I'd like for all interested artisans of the CC forum to present us their envisions of those items. Apart the usual kudos, I thought to also make this an interesting thing and am making it a drawing contest as well, in which I'll have to still see if any judges (3 more tops) are willing to help out. ;)
Best of luck for all the contestants (and us to judge). :)
Edit add: The items which are being judged are: Theme compliance (in a binary form, yes or no :P), Appealing graphic visuals and the Combination/Complexity level used (filters, shade effects, granulations, etc. etc.) of the presented work. In this last one you obviously don't have to go "the more the merrier" routine. If it suits your needs it doesn't have to have all kind of SFX into it. ;)
The judging scale is from 1-10 being the later a perfect entry (except the compliance item in which a yes or no will kinda solve things).
Rules
- It must be your own original work, so no ripping off other artists.
- Exception to this rule is that you may use crops from Blizz's images, game screenshots, World Editor screenshots or similars to the above. You can also make your own drawings as a basis to it. That obvious might earn you a few extra points in the complexity/combination dept. :)
- All crops used and not made by you must be linked to so we know from where you got'em from.
Judges
- Basan
- GrassDragon
-
Constestants
- BlackHawk (entry pending)
- Fallen
- FrankZ0509 (entry pending)
- Lithium
Imagery entry period
- Since it seems that it wasn't explicit enough the period would end at the end of the year (aka today included) but since no one seems to have grasped it am extending it 'till tomorrow. That way we may have some other competitors entering since they might use the free day to put up some work.
Since the map competition is due to end in the last day of January, we're extending this competition to the 20th of January so we have some time to see all the works that will be delivered and still judge it on time to use it for the map competition.
Best of luck for all the contestants (and us to judge). :)
