It all happened so suddenly!!
Basically, I have an interview with America West/Us Airways today at 5:00p.m. at the Dulles International Airport.
My homegirl Tiffany and I are renting a car and driving up there since I have to come to them. If I get this job, I'll be able to be based in Denver! :D
God has literally made a way out of no way and is opening up door after door for me to be there.
I would like to ask prayer, well wishing, etc that I have favor and that I get this job!! Also for saftey on the road, no tickets, flat tires, accidents, snowy roads, etc etc.
Thanks everyone!

Good luck PC!
Also think really hard before you accept the job as to whether you want to work for a discount airline...

I would imagine it depends. If it isn't a really big discount airline it might not be as stressful. (Though what do I know? I haven't flown in my life. :P)
GL in the interview PC. <3

Man do I feel moted, for some reason I mixed up the name of the airline.
I interviewed with SkyWest which is this regional Jet carrier and guess what they go by?
Their airline is CALLED SkyWest, but a bigger airline contracts them so that way they are known as something else.
SkyWest is known as UNITED EXPRESS -_-
Can you believe that?? Instead of flying international trips, I'll be flying within the United States and Canada....>.<
Not exactly what I'm looking for but hey--If that's what I need to do to get my foot in that door then HEY! I'm gonna do it. :)
Anywayz--The interview was awesome and when I explained my DNF [Did Not Fly] about my phone on vibrate, etc etc--They were like, "Oh wow, I'm glad you explained that. Don't worry, that won't count against you. The same thing happened to me and they at least gave me a warning. I can't believe United fired you like that..."
So yes, I was up front and honest about it, they really liked me. Only four other ppl interviewed there with me. And they were very nice. They all tripped out on my story too and said that they hope I can get another airline job.
I'm just thinking...
"Great. I'm basically downsizing from an International carrier to a regional carrier. I go from United mainline to United Express."
But whatever--Hey, I really hope Delta or NorthWest or even US Airways calls me!! I'd love to go with them :D
As for sight seeing, I went around and saw a bunch of stuff afterwards. I actually got home at like 5:40! I drove there 6 hours and I drove back 4 hours [Cuz my homegirl Tiffany drove two while I slept]
It was beautiful...This Nation's Capital rocks and I loved running around everywhere and taking pics and stuff :]
Oh and as for the interview, it went gret and they told us all who applied that we would receive an e-mail in 7-10 days if we got the job or not.
Training starts in Feb.

Remember, You need to work your way up. Most people don't become "big shots" all in one swoop. Getting the job and United that you had was sort of a small "taste" of what working with a major airline would be like. If you liked it then that's a goal you'll want to set for yourself: To get back with a big name airline. However don't be afraid of the small stuff for now. Experience will pay dividends in the end. God will open the doors/windows when you're ready to move on/up. :)

Too bad you didn't get US Air. I was hoping you might be able to fly to Fallujah.
