Hell its about time - Diablo 3 version

Before i start i want to say this forum sucks big time. It laggy as hell, when was the last time AJ did some optimization?

Anyways back to the story, Blizzard is developing Diablo 3 everyone.
Current titles there are working on: wow: wotlk, starcraft 2, next gen MMO and another title.

Now the 4th title developed is actually Diablo 3. How do i know this?
Its simple, previ0osly its was starcraft universe turn to revive and blizzard announce starcraft 2, now once sc2 is announced its diablo universe time to revive and they are developing it.
Its probably in the very early pre-alpha stage where concepts and ideas are put forward and stuff so don't expect it announced for at least 1 more year!

To be honest SlickR, that's a big hypothesis assumption. :P We can't be sure (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=32082) (with a big emphasis on the can't) that they're gonna revisit the Diablo universe in their next developing game. For all we know it could be a WC trip back into the RTS genre or a whole new series. :)

All of those being WoW and related expansions which are inside the MMORPG genre, not the RTS (aka Real Time Strategy) one. And they were 3, not 4. Unless you're also counting with the TFT expansion for WC3. :P

To be honest I probably would prefer a whole new series or genre of game (not in the MMO's type) in an existing universe than actually revisiting the WC universe. As for going into the Diablo one again I fear that it might not have plenty of angles to catch and make new plot out of.

I really dont see Blizzard straying from their four main franchises (World Of Warcraft is pretty much a spin-off from Warcraft), i would love to see something new but i dont think it will happen - atleast not anytime soon.

Diablo is on the cards but do they have enough staff, SC2 being a huge project and i would assume WoW would be also.

With regards to their staff: let's remember that the people that work on SC2 would not be working on D3. The games are vastly different and require, for the most part, much different personnel. Then again: there have been a ton of hirings going on at Blizzard so who really knows?

Anyone who actually paid attention to the Diablo storyline would know there is still plenty to wrap up -- or for that matter we could get a prequel game set during the sin wars.

Seriously. Besides that, there has been a team working on a diablo game at the least for awhile now -- before flagship split off. It's not stupid to assume that blizzard's new MMO, if it is one, will be a Diablo game.

I'd be rather annoyed if it was, but at the same time it would be pretty nice ot have a new diablo game. If not, I'd say it could potentially be WoW2, but that seems doubtful.

Secondly, that is pure unreal hypothesis, you have no concrete evidence (like Blizzard quotes or off-site links to the article) and so do not push your luck in us believing you.

Diablo 3

Blizzard will also use the BlizzCon event to introduce Diablo 3 to gamers and if the excitement of Blizzard employees is anything to go by, the game will be a big deal. According to a message sent to WoW Guru by former Blizzard employee Chris Hartgraves, Diablo 3 takes place in heaven. Hell is trying to take it over and it is AWESOME looking ... Imagine the brightness of heaven being taken over by the darkness of hell ... Imagine WoW but in a Diablo world in amount of size and playability ... Also, guild housing is available in this game for those of you who know about it. They should have a gameplay demo to show at BlizzCon.

This is definitely the second most heartwarming story for Blizzard fans, the first being the developer's denial of any plans to bring WoW to XBox 360.
