I was in my second day of Driver's Ed today. The first day was uneventful, so I was anticipating an easy time today. Whaddaya know, it was a fucking disaster. I botch my K-turn, and nearly slam into the curb. The instructor had to use his brake. After that, I must have been shaken or something, because I nearly ran a red light. Everyone was laughing at me, and rightly so. I don't think I've ever been more embarassed.

Anyone got any driving stories to get off their chest?

I drove down a wide sidewalk once. Luckily it was dark and I was alone and I got off before I hit the fire hydrant. :p

And another time, I was coming up to a changing light and decided I was too far back to make it through (which I was correct in assuming). But I didn't apply the brake correctly and nearly skidded through the intersection anyway. Not fun.

1. Everyone was laughing at you? In Norway, usually, there's only you and your instructor in the car.

2. I had some really bad days too when I was learning to drive. And I've had some bad days after I got my licence. The bad decisions by yourself just seems to line up, don't they? That first day (before I got my licence), I made numerous crappy decisions, and had it been my practical test, I would have majestically failed. My advice is to take a deep breath, stop driving, and then - there's a new day tomorrow.

I botch my K-turn, and nearly slam into the curb. WTF is a K-turn? Is that the same as a three-point turn? And how the hell do you botch that? :p

I never learned to (successfully) parallel park until moths after passed my test. Damn you suburban lifestyle...

I was a good driver, and on my exam I only did 2 things wrong. On a left turn, I didn't go into the right lane, and the second problem was my downhill curb parking. I sort of bumped the curb, but other then that, I did excellent.

I dunno, driving has never been a problem for me. The only problem I am facing now is getting the money for a car.

Honda Civic, here I come. ;)

Accidently kicking the instructor in the face. Hard.

Well, during driver's ed, i almost ran off the side of the highway. Another time I almost ran into a cop car.

Well, since I only have my learners, I havn't done anything wrong, really, although I've driven whenever I could. I should probably finish up my AMA driving part already, it's been too long. The written part was in the winter. o_O
