This thread is so that you can post and discuss your Battle reports. Battle Reports are Turn by Turn narratives of the battle. I propose they use a standard template , but feel free to add in fluff or other fun things on your own.

I.E.

World: Warhammer 40k
Battle: Tyranids(me) Vs. Chaos Space Marines(Random Games Workshop patron)
Battle Type: 1k point limit, Annihilate the enemy.

Battle Report(the construction of this part is really up to the poster)Deployment: To save time, we do a quick deployment, with both sides just putting their troops on at once.

Light brown is small hills, Dark brown large impassible cliffs, dark green, forest, black is building(impassable). The red line is the Tyranid deployment zone, the blue is CSM. He places his defiler behind 7, hoping for some indirect fire action, He places a CSM squad with a lascannon on top of hill 8, and the rest of the troops on the field(consisting of two squads of khorne berzerkers, a chaos lord, three bikers, and two more 'rine squads) The bikers he places near 6. I place my Carnifex on top of hill 1(it's really shooty, so it will stay there), then a genestealer squad to the right of hill 2. Then my hormies, termies, zoan, warriors, and remaining stealer brood right between 1 and 2. Last, I infiltrate my broodlord and retinue roughly between 7 & 5. I leave my lictor in reserve.

Turn 1: CSM: everything but the CSM squad on top of the hill and the defiler moves forward. The CSM Squad pings a wound off my carnifex(fucking AP1 lascannons[also, thank god for 5 wounds]) The bikers and both remaining CSM squads head towards 6. The Defiler tries to template my hormies, but scatters to uselessness. the two 'zerker squads and his chaos lord move towards the center(between 3&4)
Tyranids: The only thing that doesn't move forward is the Carnifex. one of my two squads of termies and my zoan strafe towards 6 in hopes of tying up those squads, the rest head straight for the 'zerkers. Hormies roll a six on fleet and make it to within assault range of the 'zerkers. the 'stealer squad to the right of 2 fleets on top of hill 4, and the hormies heading towards the center unleash a volley on the 'zerkers, causing 1 wound. The Carnifex and the warriors thin out the 'zerkers with deathspitters, venom cannons and a barbed strangler. The brood-lord and retinue moves closer to his defilier. In assault phase, the hormies assault, causing about 5 wounds but getting slaughtered on their own(1 Hormie remains to tie up that squad in combat) The broodlord assaults his defiler, and kills it easily(thank god for rending)

Turn 2:CSM: Everything moves forward, except the 'zerker squad in combat with my hormie, and the csm squad on the hill. Said CSM squad pings yet another wound off my carnifex. The bikes and CSM Squad all but destroy the brood of hormies heading their way. The 'zerkers finish off the final hormie and move back towards my broodlord. The other squad and the lord assault my termies, and consolidate into my warriors. (boo hiss)
Tyranids: My Broodlord decimates the lascannon squad, my genestealers get completely owned by the 'zerkers(taking them down to five 'zerkers and the chaos lord) . My lictor finally shows up and scares off the bikes(by getting some amazing rending rolls), the zoanthrope pings a marine Turn ends

Turn 3: CSM: The remainder of the 'zerker squad assaults my carnifex, who promptly squishes them due to his 10 init from being on a hill when the 'zerkers aren't. (The lord gets instagibbed, another marine gets gibbed from the other attack, and two of the remaining four marines die because they can't fall back(lack of fear) a marine squad attacks my lictor and looses a few, but squishes it. The other 'zerkers heading towards my broodlord get completely slaughtered.(broodlord became my favourite character after this) one of The two remaining squads of CSM assault and kill my zoan.

Nids: The fex barb-strangles one CSM squad into oblivion Turn ends ( Fex broodlord(plus about 3 'stealer retinue) and CSM squad remain.

Turn 4: CSM: his squad gets on the hill and powerfists my 'fex. He forfeits, knowing he can't kill my broodlord with the squad.

Notes: he probably could have won if he had remembered he had a flamer on his defiler.
