uhh, the rocky snow transitions are ugly as hell... Try to just use snow and high snow for the transitions.

I think it's not much of a stretch to assume they are placeholders. They have the functionality he wants, but he just ASKED if there were nonbuildable ramps for iceworld.
And as for the question - Not that I know of. The only special ramps I have for iceworld are from a maplantis link TitanWing sent me, & I was not impressed.
If you end up doing transitions, try to use dirt/grass as much as possible. They are the same color for both high and low. Snow is very different depending on height, though.

I assume the Nexi are only to show where the command buildings go. Two things, the distances between mains seems a bit far to me. Not sure if it will effect the game too much but yeah. Blue's fourth expo can be tanked, it seems while red's cannot. I am assuming you will add doodads later. I didn't come here before because of the name:cool:. I was assuming you were discussing a topic.:P

Yeah, let everyone learn from this. Just use the (2) or (4) etc tags in front of the map name, that way we know it's a melee map.
Major flaws I see right now lie in resource placement. All the expos are either poor mining or take up too much space and/or block unit pathing. You've wiped out half the building space in the mains by making the minerals so spread out.
I guess I need to work on my resource placement tut'...

I don't know if the geysers are just too small to see in the picture, but if they aren't, I noticed that you only have them in like 1 or 2 expos, which is a bad thing.

only 6 dont have gas, and 2 dont have minerals

I cant believe I missed this before. Wtf was I on - Gas only expos are a no-no. Mineral only expos are okay because you need so much more minerals than gas, but having a gas only isnt usually worth the risk and the only reason someone might take on on this map is because you failed to include gas at so many other expos.

whats the point of having every expansion covered with a nexus? natural and second natural should be clear atleast.
Also, the rocky ramps are ugly. I don't care if you make your own ramps or not, but its gotta happen.
you should also be aware that the 'double gas no minerals' expo benefits the zerg, as they need to place extra hatcheries for unit production anyway. They just get easy extra double gas which aint so easy for others.
its also very easy to obtain 4-6 gasses, which will benefit the zerg.
Everything also connects from the middle, and considering that, the middle is too shallow. Will favor Terran over protoss etc etc. Also easy to defend expansions with zerg and so on due to to that fact.

i forgot to take nexi out of map...
what I mean is, that terran can push out extremely fast out of his main and protoss cant do a very good flank. I dunno, maybe its fine but I slightly doubt it

First the inverts look horrid and the normal ramps are barely better but I guess you don't have a choice for that. The side expos will be very easy to defend. The north east and south west expos don't seem to have the ramps.

well, i forgot to remove the rocky snow, but it's fixed now, just ignore them.
can someone tell me why scmdraft is cutting off player 1 or 2?
i probably chould make the ramps look better if my palette wasn't zoomed to 25%

Just use the damn ramps that I gave Proto to link to you without sticking any fucking doodads on them. It looks stupid and buildability on ramps make NO difference whatsoever in the middle of the map.
For the normal ramps, just remake the inverts to face the other way. It's not hard, and it's about time you learned to do it.

yay, full circle. Can we not focus on the ramps plz. As i'm sure titanwing-lord-of-mapping knows, buildable ramps allow creep to spread unchecked. which i don't like, and i believe i also told titan this previously.

Generally it doesnt, unless it clearly blocks off a narrow chokepoint or expo.
Either way, those doodads are extraordinarily ugly and would detract far more points from aesthetics than any creep would detract from balance.
