View Full Version : In search of old school pre-lotr maps. Paying $.

Hey guys. If anyone knows where I can find some, please let me know. Otherwise I'll be paying 1$ per old LOTR map just to dl it from u. I'm not sure if this is allowed or not.

I been playing SC since 1997. I had a TON of old maps that I loved. I been searching google for hours and cannot find any old maps I had.

Most of the old maps that I want are old Pre-Lotr maps. Maps that have melkor, gondolin, and other things.

I cannot remember the name of one, but if your gondolin your red on a hill, and blue is your ally top left. evil is brown with melkor to the top right. elves are bellow you and are teal and white.

If anyone can help me please let me know.

Charging people to download maps is illegal, under the EULA of the Editor, so I'd avoid anyone that wants you to pay for maps.

Otherwise, I'm not able to help you much further, I'm afraid.

I can send you all the old maps, I have basically ever one, but I would like you to email them to me after, because they are on an old imac and I cant get them off of it. Ive seriously tried everything.

Come to chanel Op Silmaril and we can start it up :)

Just don't sell them, like Ktan said. You can be sued large amounts of money for it.

Technically there would be no grounds for lawsuit, as he's not paying someone for the rights to use the map, he's paying someone to find it for him. He's paying for the service, not the product. Technically.

'Kow, if the precedent takes place the next step will be folks asking for Pay Pal contributions for finding maps or similar game editing tools... See where I'm heading at? :_poke:

I'm sorry, but that is really the most idiotic thing I've heard on wb's yet.
I doubt you would pay someone anyways if they found the maps for you.
