Well, I started this map yesterday (friday) and got the basic shape down.

Instead of even using ramps, I'm using straight transitions from snow to high snow, so we'll see how that turns out when i finish.

I only have the outline of the map laid out, but I'll be updating throughout the thread.

i don't like block ramps either..i remember doing something like this but with moguls or something that made it rather smooth.

At least the one on the bottom right doesn't look half bad.

BLOCKY my friend blocky :p.The ramps that is :).Anyways nice everywhere else though.

Ahh, but the gameplay would be interesting, you can build on them too!

Yeah, this is only the Alpha. So the blockiness will probobly be changed.

once you add the minerals ill get a better picture of the map

That's my #1 priority for this map. But given that it's due in 4 days, and that im working tomorrow, I'm not sure how done it'll get.

Use dirt like I did in Epitaph. It's also buildable and is far more pleasing to the eye.

all cliffs in snow tileset are surrounded by, well, snow, but im trying to use as much dirt as possible
