View Full Version : Chess map, wait woes

So I accidentally modified a trigger I thought was a copy, so I recreated it exactly, and afterwards it wouldn't work past the Wait action.

Here's the trigger;

Cond: Player 1 brings at least 1 of any unit to "c4"
Player 1 brings at least 1 Zerg Drone to "c4"
Action: Move all Zerg Drone for Player 1 at "anywhere" to "Blacks' Drone"
Disable invincibility for any unit owned by Player 8 at "c4"
Wait for 400 miliseconds
Kill all any unit for Player 8 at "c4"
Move 1 Zerg Pawnling at "anywhere" to "c4"
Give 1 Zerg Pawnling owned by Player 1 at "anywhere" to Player 7
Preserve Trigger

//In the first instant of the map all units are given over to computer players and made invincible. Two civilians in the same location as a unit will "thaw" it (put it under your command) so you can order it, and then bringing the unit plus a drone to the desired destination square will do these effects.

This woudn't even bother me that much, but it was working mere minutes ago and I didn't change anything!

My map will still be possible, but it would be way cooler if the players' units could fight eachother. I had the wait fine-tuned to where the unit being "captured" was killed by the capturing unit an instant before the trigger would kill them, making me hopeful for a moment that it wasn't even nessesary (was there for just-in-case tidyness). Then the unit would teleport to the exact center of its' destination square, face due south, and belong to Player 7 again (white terran, making it look like it turned to stone). Cool looking.

Now it seems yet again I've been screwed by the damn Wait action. Sick burn, Wait action. :shiftyl:

I implemented three methods of hypercheckination and it did not help. Mabey someone knows what a deathtimer is? Mabey that would work?

Any help would be much appreciated. Just pm your email adress if you want to see the map/ or can fix this and want gold dabloons. Thanks.

Good thing I caught this.
Unless you have a bunch of wait times at the same time I don't see the problem, I'll try to recreate it.

I would say remove the wait maybe that would work. Also do you have hyper triggers?

Yeah he did, and that was probably the problem.
